I was given a rider lawnmower that hadn’t been used in 3 years. They said that they just had it serviced but to medical issues, they hired out mowing services and this mower sat in the garage. They never drained the gas and it would turn over but not start. I bought this kit and replaced the old carburetor, fuel filter, air filter, and added the fuel shut off valve and it fired right up! Been mowing with it for a couple of weeks with no issues! Great price and easy to replace! Had gas running out of my old carburetor so I purchased this kit to replace it. Installed easy and worked great. Used the spark plug and air filters too. Mower had a 18hp I/C OHV motor.

Wow, this carburetor was perfect. I switched out my old one, changed the spark plug and air filters, turned the key and took off! The kit came with a fuel filter and cutoff valve, which I didn't use because I had already spent around $30 on a metal valve and another filter(If I had bought the carburetor kit before I wouldn't have needed it). It came with a section of fuel hose I used. I will buy this kit every time I buy a cheap mower that has been dead forever to bring it back. It motivated me to paint my Mower! Great buy! ... show more

    • No instructions on how to mount the ridiculously stupid choke handle.
I like how there isn't any pictures of this ridiculous choke handle actually mounted to the carb and no instructions on how to mount it. It's a joke. Wonderful customer service. I mean, Jesus christ. No one at your company though to add a picture of it or an instruction booklet?

My MTD (yard machines) 638RL swallowed 2quarts of fuel into the crank case ruining the oil and wouldn’t start. Found a faulty fuel solenoid and replaced it, same issue. Purchased this carb, put it on, put in the new in line filter and manual fuel shut off valve for security in the future, changed the oil and spark plug and it fired right up first key turn. WELL worth the money. A local mower shop wanted almost $400. Took me about an hour to do everything. For reference my mower has the 15.5hp Briggs engine. ... show more
