5/10/26 This worked extremely well. John Deere L120 with briggs and stratton 22 hp v-twin. I did have to adjust the wires for the bowl. Some people claimed they were very tight fit but i only had to adjust it a bit to have plenty. Unsure of the longevity. Will update at end of season

This was installed on a 2002 Craftsman LTX 1000. 21.5 Intek engine. It works great. Only had to adjust slow idle screw. Shipped fast. Now the bad. Had to trim some manifold with a die grinder for throttle linkage clearance. And extend the wires for the solenoid plug to reach. I would buy it again even knowing it would require so mods because it's so cheap. And just for some info, most of these manifolds are warped where the carb meets it. I did some filing at the bolt areas and used gray RTV to seal it. Something the average person won't notice and think the carb is faulty. ... show more

18.5 Hp Briggs Intek engine started surging about three summers ago, removed carb at least twice cleaned it and blew it out but did not help. Now this is on a lawn tractor that was purchased in 2000 so maybe it could use a new part. After checking the price on an OEM carb (crazy high) I am thinking - nothing to lose, so ordered this carb - put it on and now my 25 year old tractor purr's like a kitten. Good Replacement carb for worn out Nikki brand carbs IF carb fits as the carb body dimensions match the NIKKI but kit DOES NOT include the ORANGE INTAKE to HEAD o-rings used with the BLACK NYLON INTAKE MANIFOLD. Seems intended for the ALUMINUM INTAKE MANIFOLD that often uses a black plastic spacer that the BLACK NYLON DOESN'T REQUIRE. Plus the fuel shut off valve and fuel bowl is configured differently as some shut off valves are smaller and screw through the bottom of the fuel bowl into the fuel pickup on some NIKKI type carbs. However it should work as the wire connector are the same and if there's enough wire to reach the shut-off solenoid and enough space since the shut off solenoid sticks out at a right angle. Due to intake gasket, fuel bowl, shut-off valve differences, and lack of the black spacer I RETURNED the carb WITHOUT TROUBLE and REBUILT MY CARB using a kit bought through Amazon.
