Love this album!

  • Great lp
You need to know that there is a reason that they decided to keep these songs off of the original US release of "High Voltage". It's a great bunch of songs and a recommended purchase for AC/DC lovers (particularly Bon Scott fans) but when you put it in perspective with the rest of the US release's songs, they would have detracted from the hard, rawer edge of the rest of the songs. I'm not sure that this would have made it inferior, but it definitely would have made it different. The remaster is excellent. ... show more

  • Love this album!!!
What actually amounts to an E.P. by industry standards is what AC/DC put out to celebrate their 10 year anniversary and also celebrate their late singer. All the material here was initially unavailable in the US unless you had an import copy of High Voltage from Australia. These amount to their real first recordings with Bon Scott and also before they got Cliff Williams in the band. If you're a fan of any early AC/DC before Brian Johnson you can't go wrong with this album. A must for any fan of straight ahead balls out solid R'n'R. ***** ... show more

  • Just okay
Have to be a big AC/DC fan or into blues to really give this more than 3 stars. Interesting to hear the early stuff but you can see why they cut these from the International release. Bon Scott is great, the guitar riffs are great but the song writing is pretty weak. Nobody is going to be singing Soul Stripper and Show Business to themselves. Jailbreak is the best song and even it seems to have more than one chorus. So, interesting to see the early AC/DC as they are developing their skills and direction. But musically really an average album. Also, as mentioned by others this is NOT there first album. If you're like me and couldn't find the first Australian album then this is an okay substitute. But you're going to be paying for about 3 decent songs so take that into consideration with the price. ... show more
