Bought 2 of these. One of the had no directions but the other one did. None of the many (and I mean many) pieces were not labeled. I had to lay them out and try to figure it out. Pieces did not fit together well also.

While not metal or heavy duty, this works well for my needs. It didn't have detailed instructions, but it was super easy to figure out. Just build all the circles, put the points at the bottom, use the long pieces with metal, and put on mushroom top. It looks great. It is lightweight, but durable. This is not made out of metal. It is made out of plastic. There’s no directions on how to put it together. Nothing is labeled. The top piece doesn’t even fit on, and it is not sturdy.

I think folks may be daunted by the lack of instructions but, I promise, you are of the species that split the atom, you can do this. It could prove difficult for those with arthritis or weak hands - the pieces snap together with very firm pressure - be careful not to snap anything. Once put together, it's really quite tall. The smooth plastic looks more like metal. It's obviously top heavy, and getting it in the pot/ground deep enough so that it doesn't topple is crucial. I'm training moonflowers to it and, in the top space, I've put a stone pot of moonflowers to help weigh it down. I can't wait for my Moonflower Space Needle! ... show more

I got this for use in a raised bed inside a greenhouse for growing cucumbers. I put it together in about 5 minutes even though there are no instructions. So, I would consider it pretty common sense in how it goes together based on just the finished picture. If you are expecting 2 trellises because 2 are pictured, you will be disappointed that there is indeed only 1. The advertised description says: "73in Metal Trellis for Climbing Plants, Heavy Duty Plant Support with 1in Steel Frame, Rust Proof Trellis for Tomatoes Cucumbers, No Tools Needed Snap Lock Design" What is true: - it is indeed 73" tall. - no tools are needed to put it together. What is false: - in no way, shape, or form could this be considered "heavy duty". - the metal pieces are NOT 1", but exactly 1/2". (see photos) - calling this trellis metal is a half truth and misleading. only the straight vertical pieces (and top "L" pieces) are metal (as verified with a magnet shown in the photos). ALL of the circle pieces are plastic. - calling this rust-proof is highly questionable. Of course the plastic is rust-proof and the powder coated metal will be initially. But when water comes in constant contact with it, will it really stay that way? That is yet to be seen. The coated pieces are exactly like interior lighting metal tubes that are often used in pendulum hanging lights so I'm not too confident they will hold up in any sort of outdoor weather. When snapping together the circular plastic pieces, 1 wouldn't seat at all. Turns out a small shard of plastic needed cut off in order for it to seat correctly. (see photos) Anchor this thing well or the 1st breeze with the weight of a plant growing up it will topple it over for sure. Unfortunately, this is just another cheaply made imported item that I believe will turn out to be a waste of money. Not metal and not heavy duty. It’s plastic and won’t even stand up. I have never had a product from Amazon that is the opposite of the description.

    • Working well with my cucumbers.
Using this with my cucumbers this year. So far it is doing great. Very easy to assemble. Looks great. Very sturdy. Love the height adjustment. Was easy to put in the ground. The weight is not much at all. Very easy to maneuver even when it is at its tallest height.
