As a DIY enthusiast, I particularly interested in smelting after seeing the youtube smelting video. Electronic furnace and gas crucible are selected for similar stoves in the market. FOR GAS CRUCIBLE : I tried to melt copper and some silver..full propane tank and an hour later and no luck. I need to know if there is something I am doing wrong....the air intake screw was totally open and things didn't really seem to change much if I ran it close. Update: My husband modified it and welded it to, it can be ignited and operated normally.I ended up with some highly oxidized black charcoal looking silver and what looked like burnt and oxidized copper. ... show more

I bought this little melter a couple of weeks ago and have used it 4 times to melt Aluminum, Brass and Copper. I am fully satisfied with the way it works and its simple design.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great kit. Everything you need, besides gloves, face shield and crucible tongs. Buy gloves and a face shield, make some tongs and you're good to go. Definitely watch some YouTube videos about DIY Smelting first, just so you can see how the timing goes. I originally had two issues with the product. The insulation burned through and the crucible crumbled by the third use. However, I would buy this product again. The seller is willing to make things right and stand by the product and I respect that.

el horno hasta ahora a funcionado muy bien, el dia de hoy hare un pedido nuevamente pero no voy a pagar envio prioritario, espero que por favor tengan la cortesia de enviarlo pronto y como el anterior en buen estado, si es asi, seguramente comprare mas para colegas de trabajo
