I got this cable to replace the original one for charging my old Kindle e-reader. This cable works with my old Amazon 5W USB Official OEM Charger and Power Adapter for Fire Tablets and Kindle eReaders. Because the cable is 6 feet long, I can charge my old Kindle while reading in bed--the wall socket is about 5 feet away. I haven't had this cable long enough to rate its sturdiness, and I haven't compared its charging power to the power of my original cable. I had a Kindle charge cord for my original reading tablet but since I have two different carry bags, I felt a second one would be useful for the second bag. It fit just perfectly and the connectors worked with no problem. It only takes an hour for the charge to complete on my current Kindle and it makes an excellent backup. My old micro USB cables are giving up. Ordered this cable to charge my old Kindle and Samsung Tab. This cable has the USB-A end and the other end has pigtails; one micro USB & one USB-C ! Nice bonus. Both pigtails charge fast.

Cord length is great, sturdy, thick cord. Only issue is my Apple phone says it’s not compatible but it does charge my phone. Not sure why it says that

    • Bought for my kindle
I didn't get to use bought for a kindle that my husband got me a long time ago it did power it up but kindle was too old to use again. The battery performed it was the Kindle that was too old.
