These lights are probably one of the best purchases I bought from Amazon. They are only $10 but they are so worth it. I bought 2 because I thought that they would be long enough to cover the whole perimeter of my room, but they are actually longer than expected and I only needed 1. -They are malleable so you can create whatever design -They are so light - so you can really use scotch tape to hold them -They are luminescent and pretty - they light up the room at a perfect brightness for me, not too bright and not too dim - you can just turn off the room light in your room and enjoy the string lights by themselves and fall asleep with them on. These were the cheapest lights I found, but did not expect it to be this nice. The remote comes with a battery so you can use it immediately. The copper string is easy to bend and manipulate. I have purchased 3 of these lights over the years. They last a long time, and give off a dim glow. It looks so nice, not bright or glaring. Perfect for a porch after dark. I have mine on timers, and like that they are electric, not battery operated. Very happy with these lights. UPDATE - I purchased these lights again, however, I didn't realize they now have 8 different options for lighting. Blinking, fluttering on & off, etc. When I plugged them in, they go through all 8 options, over & over again. I set them at just regular lighting, but, every time the electricity goes on & off, they reset back to going through all the options ! Very annoying, since they are strung up on the front porch ceiling. They were better as just a regular string of lights. UPDATE: I purchased these again, and am now returning them, as I didn't realize I was buying the same lights with the irritating different modes of lighting. Provides just enough light for a movie night or late night reading. I would definitely purchase these again!! I figured that for the price, even if these didn't work great I'd be pleased. But they work wonderfully! I wound them around the branches of a small tree that my landlords were disposing of that I stripped and painted white. I love that I can plug them in (and not continually replace batteries). They create a lovely mood. The wire is nice because it helps the lights stick to whatever you wind them around, without having to use tape or twist-ties. I do wish I would have gotten a longer strand to cover more of the tree, so I think I'll buy the next size up soon. Very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

Love these lights! I have the warm white and also the colored ones. Bought them to string in the ceiling part of a large party tent, and they are great for that. I had a couple of boxes I was going to use on the mantle at Christmas, but we had two tree lighting "emergencies" - one tree is so old the pre-strung lights are barely glowing or out altogether. We strung two of these strings up through the tree to supplement poor lighting and it worked great! Next year I will put a couple more on so we can keep using the tree. These are quite bright, so I don't know how it would look if these were used alone, but the combination with the low glow of the old lights looked pretty great! We also put a coiled strand inside the tree topper of our big family tree so it would glow. It is a punched tin star with small holes. These lights are bright enough that they shone through the punched holes very brightly. Both "fixes" worked great! ... show more

I like the color of the lights, soft white. It came with a plug in timer which I wanted, but it has a little remote gadget to set the timer. It's tricky and so far it has not been consistent with the time on it iff. Frustrating.
