While this trellis is true to size and was easy to put together it seems very, very flimsy. The vertical and horizontal "legs and arms" of the trellis do not stay straight. I also found that not all of them were uniform in size which was odd and disappointing. While the intersections are supported by the metal clasps, there are other weak areas where the legs and arms are put together by plastic tubes and those are the spots that don't stay straight and bend. This unit is very lightweight. I don't know that it will support any heavier fruit on it than beans or peas. The legs feel so weak I would not trust trellising cucumbers, melons or squash. I've planted peas around this trellis and will see how it goes.

This has got to be the easiest trellis to set up that I've used. I have it internal to a 4x4 ft grow box, and as I have wire mesh under the box I could not seat this trellis as firmly as I would have liked. It still seems very stable. (I will be securing it to stakes driven into the ground outside the grow box, in case of future serious wind issues.) It took me about a half-hour to get this assembled and into position. It's nice in that you can customize it - add/subtract height, add/subtract width as desired. That's a real plus. Thanks to whichever designer had them put yellow strings at each corner of the climbing support mesh - it was so much easier to get the mesh over the frame with those as referents. The only downside to this kit, and it's really very minor, is that you do have to exert some force to get some of the rod sections to properly seat into the connectors. I have a bit of arthritis in one hand and that made it a little painful. You definitely need to be sure those rods are as far into the connectors as they will go or the stability of the whole unit might be compromised once it's bearing the weight of the climbing plants. I have given this four stars only because I've just assembled it and cannot vouch for how well it is going to hold up over time, and how well it will function once the plants are on it. I will update this review at the end of the growing season if there is anything that warrants adding new information here. As it stands now, I don't know how I managed all these years making trellises out of chicken-wire and bamboo stakes - I would have loved to have had some of these!

A lot of pieces but easy enough to put together. The height would work perfectly for a 24 inch or higher raised bed between two of them. Good item that should last a few seasons.

I grow anything that vines vertically to save space in the garden. This trellis is acceptable to lightweight things like cukes and green beans, but don't even consider letting a squash, heavy melon or pumpkin near it - it's going to break. It'll work in a bind, but if you can I'd truly suggest getting a cattle panel and making a trellis that way. It'll last forever and won't fall over when the wind blows too hard. I grow anything that vines vertically to save space in the garden. This trellis is acceptable to lightweight things like cukes and green beans, but don't even consider letting a squash, heavy melon or pumpkin near it - it's going to break. It'll work in a bind, but if you can I'd truly suggest getting a cattle panel and making a trellis that way. It'll last forever and won't fall over when the wind blows too hard. And, as the material from which it's made breaks down in the sun, it leaves microplastics in your soil. No thanks.

I found the frame easy to construct, although, if I had to do it again, I would put the bottom tier about 6" lower. I tied the netting very securely to the bottom tiers, the ends, and the top runner.
