The finish doesn’t look cheap, but it is a no frills desk. It is a little heavy, but manageable. Fits a desktop, laptop, potted plant, a few books, and still has mass room left over between the two tiers. Beautiful desk. It was easy to assemble. I just had major surgery back in December and now back to work in February. It hurts to sit long. I love that I can raise it to stand or lower it to sit at my ergonomic level. The design is beautiful. I love the keyboard tray. It does pull out so I can reach all the keys and my mouse. I like that it comes with 2 drawers so that I can put my office supplies in there and not take up space. The shelves for my 2 big monitors and my laptop have the perfect space. I can easily put my docking station under those shelves and my notebooks so that I’m not taking up too much space on my desk. The size is perfect because it gives me room for my little nick nacks. Exactly what I wanted. I got the Dark brown version and didn't really have super high expectations given the price I was paying. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this desk. (I fully expected the fake wood to look cheap, but surprisingly it looks pretty good) It was easy to assemble and I love that it has programmable buttons that you can set to different heights. The top tier is wide/long enough to where my monitor base is fully supported and the pull out drawers are perfect for storing papers, notebooks, pens, etc. ***The only thing I wish was different is that the edge of the desk flexes a bit it I rest my elbows on it. It could benefit from additional support in the middle. I would buy this desk again for sure for the price. ... show more

Overall, the desk is great. The desk is very appealing visually. Unfortunately, my delivery came without an assembly manual, so I had to contact customer support to get one. Afterwards, the desk was very easy to put together and works well. The ability to adjust the height of the desk helps make the desk more comfortable for whenever I change my seating position, and the motor that adjusts the height is also somewhat quiet (though granted, unless you are adjusting the desk very frequently, the loudness of the motor is a negligible factor). As for the strength of the desk, being that it’s made of engineered wood, there is a slight flexibility to the desk. In my case, I wanted to install a monitor stand onto the upper shelf, but because the stand clamps onto a surface from both the top and bottom, I had to remove the backboard of the shelves to get the stand to clamp properly. This causes the top of the shelf to flex slightly, so in a situation like this, I would suggest reinforcing the shelves somehow after assembling the desk. Parts of the desk such as the main surface are sturdy enough, given that they are reinforced by the metal bars underneath. The shelves are very helpful because they allow me to set monitors on my desk without taking up any actual desk space. When I am not using my computer, I am able to move my keyboard out of the way and into the center shelf underneath where I put my monitors. The keyboard tray mainly goes unused in my case because there’s not enough space to comfortably use both a keyboard and mouse on it, and I don’t like my keyboard being that low compared to my mouse when using my computer on the desk. Because of this, I removed the keyboard tray, which works out well as it gives me more leg room under the desk. The drawers are useful, although I personally find them slightly strange due to being made of fabric. Additionally, they are somewhat small. The headphone holders that come with the desk mainly go unused, but that’s due to the fact that I previously owned metal ones, as opposed to the plastic ones that the desk comes with. I am sure they work fine. Overall, for my purposes, this desk works very well and even though I find it a bit pricey, ultimately I am happy with it. ... show more

    • Solid Electric Standing Desk With Easy Adjustability and a Minor Setup Quirk
I’ve been using the WalkingDesk 48x24 inch electric standing desk with the two drawers, and overall it’s been pretty good. I haven’t run into any real issues, aside from occasionally tripping over cables—but that’s definitely on me for being a bit clumsy! In terms of assembly, it wasn’t too difficult, but there were a lot of screws and I think the instructions could do a better job of emphasizing the long rod that runs end to end. That rod is key to the adjustable mechanism, so it would be helpful if they highlighted it more clearly—maybe in bold in the manual. That aside, the desk does exactly what it’s supposed to. It moves smoothly up and down, and you can set your preferred heights with presets. Just press a button and it adjusts right away. So far, I’ve really enjoyed using it. ... show more

It is easy enough to assemble, I was able to do it by myself. I like that there are 4 settings to save, which allows for 2 people to each have a sitting and standing setting preserved. I use all 4 settings to pre-set different heights for if I am just standing or if I am standing on my walking treadmill, etc. The fabric drawers are nice, and I am able to fit a monitor, phone, keyboard, and plants comfortably on the desk. ... show more
