Started a remote job and this desk works well so far. They just need to give extra wood screw inserts that attach the 3 piece work surface part. Those inserts brake easily so I had to use wood glue. I got this to use as a TV stand in a guest bedroom. I needed something higher than the usual TV stand because it's set up to watch from bed. I've purchased several pieces of inexpensive furniture from Amazon, as well as many over the years from Ikea. This desk was so inexpensive I almost passed it by thinking it couldn't be that nice. It came well packaged. Even though the box had some damage there was no damage inside. There are a lot of pieces, but they are all numbered and the instruction book is one of the best I've seen. You do need to pay attention to the numbers though, several of the metal pieces look alike unless you examine them closely. But the diagrams are explicit and every piece has a number attached. It took a couple of hours to assemble, but it isn't difficult. I did it by my self, one person can manage it. It came with all the tools needed, including a screw driver that's actually nice! I usually use my own tools for these things but the ones that came with this are much better than usual, good enough to keep for other projects. The laminate surfaces look like what they are, but the pattern is quite nice and it blends well with our dark wood dressers and bed. It's industrial look with the combination of dark brown and black metal blends with our traditional walnut furniture. The drawers are cloth with a laminate front. They are pretty sturdy though and have a tight fitting solid bottom. If I were using it as a desk I'd add solid divider trays to keep them clean and organized. I suggest looking at the last page of the instructions, you can assemble it with the drawers as shown, or you can put all or 3 on one side if you want. Its a very hackable design, if I were using it as a computer desk I'd probably add a keyboard drawer in the center because it's quite shallow. The shallow design works very well for my TV. I'll probably add a cloth curtain to the knee cubby for my subwoofer. There's a lot to like with this desk, and given the price there's nothing bad. Its utilitarian but attractive and quite sturdy.

The media could not be loaded. The desk is sturdy. It’s good looking. I would have not purchased had I known the drawers were super narrow and cloth. They are just like the cube storage drawers. With a prettier front. Otherwise, I plan to use it! I’ll make do with the drawers and figure out how to use them. - They are NOT wide enough to hold a notebook.

My previous desk set up was a collapsible white table with separate side drawers stuck in our entryway. This is a visual and functional upgrade for me. Hubby put it together and said it was easy as long as you follow the directions properly! We went with the two drawers on each side set up. You can pile paperwork underneath the drawers or put other containers there to neaten the appearance. This works very well for me. I can stow paperwork, pens, etc in the drawers and close my computer to quickly neaten our entranceway while I still have my designated desk space.
