The media could not be loaded. This keyboard is not bad for children, but I would not recommend it for a new student, since although it is shaped like a piano key, the keys are pretty thin, it does not have the weight of a piano obviously, but neither the minimum sensitive touch, which is pretty important for technique even for beginners. But for a child it's fine, it's small, but big enough for a 10 year old. It has several rhythms that they can play with and sounds. It includes a microphone and headphones, which I thought was a great detail. It also has its own music stand and comes with the eliminator, but I can also use it with 6 AA batteries. The slot for batteries have a bad design, not letting the batteries to be placed correctly because a tiny piece of plastic in the middle of the 2 batteries. Regards to the instructions manual, it's not so clear, also, I realized the same manual had stick label to fix the information as shown in the pictures shared, the manual it's not complete. On the otherhand, It has a function to teach songs, but it is not very practical. It has 3 levels to teach a song, the first one plays the song when you press any key, the second you have to follow the keys that light up on the LED screen and you can adjust the speed to be able to play it slower of faster and the third, you have to play the melody and the rhythm plays. Although you never get to play the left hand, you can only hear all the pure melodies. It's fine for some entertainment, but I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner who want to take music seriously. ... show more

Grandson loves it. The fact it comes with ear phones keeps the noise off and he sings along with it so we can hear his voice without being too loud ( his Dad works third shift and sleeps during day). Easy for him to enjoy himself while learning to play.

I got this for my 8 year old grandson who really enjoys playing and yes he sings along with it. I got him one music book but he now says he wants one that has Christmas songs so that on the list. There are five elementary level children who gather around their brother to enjoy taking turns. Great gift for any age . I am 81 and thinking to buy one for me. ... show more

I am truly impressed with the number of features on this keyboard, including the ability to run off batteries, so it's very portable. I would say that the sound from the built-in speakers is missing some bass, but at this price point I'm not expecting much. If you use your own headphones instead, I think it fares better. The keys are a little smaller than regular keyboard keys, but not by much, so an adult can play this easily. I've played portable synthesizer keyboards, and believe me, these keys are fine. It has a huge range of voices and beats as well as single finger chords and split (so you can play a different voice in the bottom/lefthalf than the top/right half). One fun thing I found, was that it can record what you play, so you can play it back and sing along or play something else at the same time. I haven't yet worked out if you can stack recordings, but that would probably be a stretch at this price point. ... show more
