This is a very handy intercom between outbuildings and the main house, so far a distance about 20 ft between buildings and the signal is usable. The volume is low on occasion on the receiving side of the transmission. It uses USB-C for both base stations. There is an option for multiple channels but I have not explored this use yet. I was tired of screaming upstairs, downstairs to call the kids for various activities including dinner. Mission accomplished! Super easy to use, they come programmed so it’s literally plug and talk. Love that it automatically answers after two rings so it can’t be ignored. We all love it, son hates it because he can no longer pretend he can’t hear us! SANZUCO 60D Intercoms Wireless for Home arrived packaged nicely and without damage. Both units and cords are well made, with quality materials. From out of the box, the pair is plug and play. Each unit has a prenumbered "call" button that can be changed if needed. We only have the 2 units, so the pre assigned numbers work great. With the push of 2 buttons, you call the other unit and the connection is quick and immediate. Yes we all have mobile phones, but if you leave it in another room or just want to quickly and easily communicate, these units are quite spectacular in their simplicity. We have an older home and sometimes the quality of mobile calls is lacking. The units have no issue communicating on the different floors of our house. The intercoms are both very clear and the volume is adjustable. The units are lightweight and come with everything you need in the box. ... show more

If we have access to cell phones, those are the best long distance form of communication. However, in my case, I have a separate workshop where my husband (who forgets his cell phone) hides out. I hoped these two remote intercoms would do the trick. I had some old RadioShack intercoms from years ago but they were not so good. After unboxing and plugging these new Sanzuco units in, here are my views: PROs: 1) Once you dial up the other intercom, the unit remembers last number dialed, so you only need press the Green Call button and it automatically calls the other intercom. But if you plan to have more than two units, you may have to dial the specific unit's phone number to call it. 2) If you have a USB outlet where you can plug a USB-A into it, you don't need to use the power transformer block to connect to a 110V outlet. 3) I can see using these at a campsite where you might have power-supply units to plug these into and use them to communicate between camping sections, especially when you might not have cell signals but have clear airspace and no walls to reduce broadcast distances. CONs: 1) The instruction booklet is not that clear. So I just winged it intuitively...worked fine since I only needed to deal with just two units. 2) During communication the speech quality was mediocre when one unit was in the house and the other in the shop building 100 ft away. Choppy sounding and not really clear the whole time. It was OK for me to say "come in the house" but trying to have a conversation would be frustrating. When I tested the units inside the house, the sound was better but not great. However, pushing the distance limits up to 100 ft and through exterior walls really pushed the power limits & clarity of the broadcast. These units were definitely better than my 1980's RadioShack intercoms but I cannot rate them higher. Maybe I got a set of bad units since others have given glowing reviews. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As soon as I plugged these two SANZUCO intercom units in, they were up and running, no boot up just start using them. The radio transmission through the plaster walls in my house was, frankly, incredible. I have had to put repeaters in for my Wi-Fi because my 100 year old house has thick plaster walls. Somehow, this intercom with its voice transmission has no problems penetrating. I am guessing it uses an FM frequency, because the signal apparently travels around large obstacles easily. However it works, now I want more units for other rooms in the house. From one corner of the house to the other, I enjoy crystal clear voice transmission. The intercom itself is set up to look familiar and operate like a standard touch-tone phone. It will handle multiple intercom units (extensions) and the two I got were pre-configured to work out of the box (which they did). You dial the extension number and it rings it a few times, and the other end has to press the green button to activate the full duplex communication. Very similar to what you normally do on a land line (remember those?) The included paper pamphlet/manual explains everything simply and clearly. Now, some of us recall that these intercoms can easily be set up to eavesdrop, and listen in without the people knowing. Like a baby monitor. While you can easily do this, and you might want to, the way it comes set up makes it so the other party will know they are being listened in on. This is how it works: if you can see the unit is off, no one can eavesdrop. If someone has configured the intercoms to allow silent listening, (by not requiring the person on the receiving end to manually answer, and allowing the microphone to be turned on remotely) the unit still clearly lights up so you can tell it is on and transmitting. (you would also be able to hear it ring if you were within earshot) Plus any sounds made by the "eavesdropper" can easily be heard by the "eavesdropee" and these microphones are pretty sensitive. We all carry cell phones now, but if you want quicker, easier communications, throughout any house, even older homes, this updated version of a classic household luxury might be your solution. Just be warned, they work so well, you'll probably want more for all the other rooms in your house. At this price, anyone can afford to give this system a try, and then expand as you care to. ... show more
