The materials seem quite good and the straps and ties make it easy to hold in place. Haven't had it long enough to speak to longevity. In retrospect I wish I'd gotten a bag cover, not one that just covered the top. I've always stored my kayak on my deck on its side pushed up against the building to take up minimal space so I was disappointed to realize that I could no longer do that with this cover. Since the cover is only on top if the kayak is on its side there is nothing to keep water from running in under the cover then staying there. If you store your kayak flat then this is a good choice, just not so good if storing on its side. ... show more

Bought two of these cover two years ago. Thay have been stored outside in the !NM heat and sun. They are still water proof and the material is is not deterating or fading.
