TLDR: Pretty good rake especially for taller people! We got this because we are both really tall and get tired of leaning too much with the usual shorter rakes. This is perfect for that and definitely helps us keep from hurting our backs! It is very sturdy and made out of seemingly durable metal. My only complaint is that sometimes the handle starts to come apart slowly where it screws together. This is rather annoying but I do still like it for length and durability.

With 3 handle pieces that screw together, it's fairly sturdy, but not as solid as a single piece would be. It's nice to be able to break it down for transport, but I'd rather have a solid handle. Maybe the shorter models would be sturdier.

It's so nice to have a rake this length after using my previous rake for so long which was quite a bit shorter. I'm tall and most rakes are designed to work for the average person so I end up bending over and killing my back just doing a little raking around the yard. With the 60" handle on this I can stand up in a good working posture and rake. It comes in several pieces you thread together but it doesn't feel brittle when it's put together. If you were concerned about it you could always add some lock tite or something to the threads to make sure it stays together. One plus of the multiple sections is my wife is a lot shorter than me so if she wants to use this rake she can unscrew a section, set it aside, then she has the same rake but with a much shorter handle. I'm not using this for heavy duty landscaping or anything just light work around the house but i've been pleased with it so far and expect it to last for quite a while.

The media could not be loaded. This is a really, really, nice rake. I have some old rake heads from over a century ago that require wooden handles and I have a more recently made rake that’s really just junk and made out of aluminum. This rake handle, however, is made with tough steel. And that’s exactly what I need on my farm. Living rurally, how my family’s farm looks to other people is inconsequential to me. Instead, I’m more interested in how the farm WORKS. If leaves fall on the ground (which they always do), it’s not a problem—why waste time and a plastic bag picking them up only to put them in the dump like city folks or burn them like they do in the country? But when I can use those leaves to make compost, then they become an opportunity. And a money saving one, at that. This rake does the job. This is a heavy duty rake. I love how it looks and especially how it feels in my hands. The tines are thick and sturdy and quickly rake up everything—including nuts and twigs. It’s also sturdy enough for me to take it in the forest if I need more leaves for compost and works wonderfully with both straw and hay.

The tines on this rake are strong and effective. I’ve had other “dirt rakes” that were only supported at the ends and it seemed like I was constantly straightening them. This rake has the center welded to the end of the handle. I’ve been using this rake to tear out ivy and its roots and I have no doubt this is the most sturdy rake head I have used. The handle isn’t quite as good. It works, but one of the segments I got was barely threaded. I happened to pick it first and it wouldn’t screw onto the head. Once I determined why, I chose another segment and then things went together just fine. With all the segments the handle was too long for my preferences so I just left out the balky segment. Five feet of handle suits me fine. Oh, and the handle is far too magnetic to be stainless steel as claimed in its listing.

The Hub is the yard guy and he loves a good yard tool. This is his current favorite! it really is heavy duty and well constructed. Makes raking easy because it is so well made. Picks up a lot at one time. Perfect for the upcoming fall season. Recommend it for any garden enthusiast.
