I recently had cataract surgery that resulted in good distance vision, but close work required glasses. I used a test sheet that indicated I needed the 2.5 lenses, and I purchased these glasses. Surprisingly, the dimensions of the frame were the same as for my old prescription glasses, and they fit without adjustment. I especially appreciate the spring arms and the adjustable nose pads. The quality of the frames and lenses is good. I used these glasses primarily for reading. A subsequent eye exam indicated that I needed lenses between 2.5 and 3.0. I bought a second set of 3.0 glasses, which were better for close work with the 2.5 better for computer work. In principle, the lens in each eye can be switched using a jeweler's screwdriver, but I didn't need to do that. Having six glasses is convenient for different locations (car, workshop, living room, etc.). Overall, a high quality product with six pairs for the price of a single pair at a retail store.

Good cheaters. Solid heavy build. Springs instead of screws on arms. No issue with scratches yet. Insead of 3 or 4 pair $tore readers a month that are plastic lens and press tin, so far one pair already outlasted a month. Good purchase.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked these readers because I like the metal frames more than the plastic frames . The big box store I usually get my readers from have not had the ones I like for quite awhile so I decided to take a chance and order some without being able to try them on. I really like these. The fit is just right--tight but not too tight and no slipping off my face or down my nose. Plus the lens are the smaller size that I prefer. Six pair for a very decent price and there is a carry case for each pair.

I like these a lot so far. I had been buying dollar store plastic framed readers that don't last very long. I'd buy 10 at a time sometimes because I wanted one in each room and needed spares due to them breaking so quickly. Recently, 3 of them broke on the same day and that was the impetus to finally look for quality and not just value in quantity. The idea was I'm ok getting cheap glasses because I'm getting a lot of them. Well, I think these meet both conditions of being cost effective and very good quality. Frames are metal so they don't break down from skin oils or a little bit of stress put on it. Lenses are encased by the metal frame and are clear. The order comes with 6 pairs, a little bag or whatever they're called for all, and also lense wipers for all.
