In my previous review, I wrote that the vice had a problem rotating. It would always get stuck in the same spot before finishing it's 120 degree rotation. After taking the main body of the vice off the base it became clear that the cause of the stickiness or jamming is due to excess pieces or"blobs" of iron on the groove or track where the locking nuts hold the upper main body in place during rotation. SEE PICTURES. This irregularity on the groove or track catches on the locking nut and jams the upper body as it rotates. This blob of excess iron is due to defective manufacturing [a process known as. "casting"]. Whether this defect is just on this one device or on all of them, is yet to be seen!     • Very poor clamping /holding power when tightening Vise.
Vise mechanism grinds when opening and closing. Very poor construction. Attempted to use vise to hold several automotive items and vise clamp would never hold anything very tight. Anything I attempted to tighten in vise would never stay in place and move around when trying to pry or hammer something in the vise. Very, Very poor jaw and clamping design..     • Don’t Waste Your Money
Barely rotates 90 degrees with difficulty. Had to remove slag from tracks to get it to do even that much. Most screws and bolts had to be tightened. Don’t waste your money.

I put a trailer hitch ball in vise to hold while I loosened the nut,as soon as I applied force the bottom front section of the vise just fell off, the vise is now useless and it is past the return date, so I am stuck with a useless poorly made paper weight

Broke it after 6 months with no more than 10 uses out of it. Good price but wish I spent more in beginning for beefier unit

    • Cheap basic vice. Nothing special. Average.
Cheap vise. Not as adjustable as it should be. This came right off the China boat. Soaked in oil, to prevent rust from starting. Be careful if you have nice clothes when unboxing. Literally dripping in oil. Time will tell if it works. The base is poorly casted, so it doesn't get to use its full range of swivel motion. ... show more

Really nice for the price, but a little on the rough side. Pretty raw edges need some filing to not be so sharp, and you should grease up all the parts to smooth out the operation, but works great for the price.
