The media could not be loaded. I was surprised at how heavy this wheel is, it’s pushing 12 lbs, it seems heavier. It is well made and comes with necessary hardware for installation. The installation process is pretty much straightforward and shouldn’t take long to install. It may do better on smoother, more compacted surface than I am using it on. I may have to find a spacer to put in between the wheel mounting plate and the gate because when opening the gate the wheel spins around and is closer to the gate. It looks like at times the wheel rubs the gate when opening. When closing the gate the wheel spins around further away from the gate with no issues. But, again, the rough surface I am using wheel on may be putting pressure on the wheel pushing the spring loaded part closer to the gate. One of the most useful characteristics of the wheel is the brake. Once the brake is on the gate will not open without a good deal of force being applied. I have a problem with deer hitting the gate and opening it, even though I keep an unlocked chain on the gate. I’m pretty sure the brake will stop that problem. If I were using this wheel on a hard surface I think it wouldn’t have the clearance issue. If it becomes a problem I will put a spacer in to move wheel further from gate. The clearance issue is the only reason I didn’t give all star rating.

This is as described but the bolts are metric and and inch to short. I had to buy standard SAE bolts in order to attach it to my gate. If you don't mind spending $10 to buy new bolts it seems to work so far.

The tire leaves black marks on concrete. You can remove it with a brush but each time you use it, it leaves a black mark and you have to clean it up.

This is built like a tank and actually looks like a brush hog wheel. It has spring suspension and a brake. Plus, it comes with all the hardware you need to get it mounted to a tube frame gate. Even includes gloves! The bracket is heavy steel and would match up with any high security roller gate. Only thing it didn't include was razor wire and a sleepy guard! Highly recommended!

This wheel was bigger and heavier than I was expecting. Very nice quality. This old gate was installed by a previous owner of this property and it was dragging on the cement. I’d have to lift the heavy gate high enough to clear the cement. It was cumbersome to use. It was extremely difficult to keep animals inside the fenced area and heft this gate to close or open it. After installation of the wheel it now rolls over the cement and gravel with no problems. This wheel is saving my back. It’s really nice and should last a long time.
