What a great surprise!

Color me surprised. This is actually made of wood! Very smooth all the way around and the easiest assembly of this type of product I have ever encountered. I put a 9 cube Closetmaid together 7 months pregnant, sooo tedious with particle board splinters, I would have paid good money to have known about this company then. This is extremely stable, so much so that I have no fear moving it around, unlike the Closetmaid we have. The bins that come with it are nice quality, fit snugly into the cubes, and give it a nice look. Only issue I had, and I’m short so the leverage was the issue, were back panels. They are made of wood and fit snug, which is great, but that meant sliding them along the grooves was challenging until I stood it up on its end so I had better pressure and control. I’ll be using this one for homeschooling but I’ll definitely buy more for my library, these fit my bungalow upstairs perfectly. I’m going to sand some spots around the screws and stain it sometime.

This was such an unexpectedly good product that I actually want to write a review (and I never do). Real wood! Assembled easily by an old cat lady in about 15 minutes. Best design for the backboards ever seen. Superior tool (a keeper - going in my tool box). 4 nice linen baskets. Sturdy and steady. Shipped fast with no damage. Impressed!

Easy to assemble, versatile, solid wood storage

This thing is amazingly versatile - easy to put together, very nice solid genuine clear pine shelving, suitable for use horizontally or vertically. The fabric drawers are surprisingly well made and they fit the perfectly-square openings no matter which way you orient the case. The drawers come folded flat so if you don't want to use them all (or at all) they are easy to store, just in case you change your mind later. Note that the wood is raw - but that's actually a good thing because after a light sanding you can paint it or put a Danish or tung oil finish on it. I have to say that the engineering on this "organizer" is borderline genius - all the screw holes line up perfect and it even comes with an allen wrench that fits the screw heads. The plywood back was a little tricky but by no means a deal breaker. I've stacked organizer on top of a similar-size bookcase, so I have doubled my storage space without taking up any additional floor space.

Entirely wood! Excellent product

This is completely made of wood. It’s very easy to put together. It’s quite heavy so you know it can hold whatever you want to put on it. It comes with two drawers, which surprised me. The drawers are quite nice. The front of the drawers, look like linen and they have handles you can attach. I know they had those in the photo, but I thought they were just to show you what you could do with them. I didn’t expect it to come with two drawers. One thing you need to know is that it is not finished. So you might want to consider staining it and finishing it or painting it. I haven’t done that yet and it looks very pretty the way it is but with just the raw wood, I’m afraid it will get stains on it. It was a very good value for the money.

Excellent 8 Cube Storage Organizer
Size: 8 Cube Shelf
This is a wonderful cube storage organizer and I have nothing but good things to say about them (I got 3). They arrived in special packing that protected every piece of the shipment. Nothing was damaged or missing. However, I did receive a few extra hardware pieces that had no use that I could see. The assembly was easy and the quality/grain of the wood was so nice that I decided not to paint it. Also, I was very pleased with the real wooden back panels - no cardboard on this unit. Every screw hole and back-panel slots lined up perfectly with its counterpart and fit together without any adjustments. As a bonus, each unit came with 4 nice, sturdy, fabric storage bins. The only "con" I have about the unit was that there was no indication in the Amazon description that these units came from China. I did not know until the boxes arrived and I could see the country of origin. My 3 units are placed side-by-side and make a lovely bookcase/room divider.

Sturdy and real, honest to goodness WOOD!!

These are very sturdy solid pine BUT they are pieced with finger joints not one solid board per shelf. No coating so you may want to paint or seal with a liquid product. Super easy to put together even for a 75 year old female with mobility issues. The only complaint I have is the screw heads show everywhere because they do not provide any screw head covers or even the new contact paper dots you can stick on top to hide them. I would love to see them offer shelves with a bigger opening so I can put by quilt books or office bins with folders in the shelves, these are too small. Only ten inch each direction so will not hold most decorator baskets or file folders. Other than these inconveniences they are sturdy and can be used standing up or laying down. I like them.

Genuine wood & easy assembly!!

This is a really nice genuine all wood storage unit! Everything needed to assemble it, was in the box. It came with simple instructions, the natural wood is beautiful and all the edges are very smooth. This was literally the easiest assembly ever, since everything lined up so perfectly! There were a couple of extra screws but I'd rather have extra versus being short. Yes, you can see the screw heads but a dab of wood putty is a quick fix. The handles on the bins are a nice clean classy touch, instead of a cheaper looking material pull. There were also 3M pads included. I used those to cover the flush screw heads and corners (on the bottom) to protect my wood floors. This works perfectly for storage for my gemstone jewelry shop on etsy. It keeps everything organized, within easy reach and all in one spot. And, of course, looks good doing so. Will update on durability.

Love the beautiful natural wood!

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about purchasing this. I actually canceled my original order at first, but ended up adding it back to my cart after learning that many other organizers are made with manufactured wood that can release formaldehyde toxins in hot or humid conditions. Our organizer arrived today, and it is absolutely beautiful. I had seen a comment mentioning visible nails that were supposedly airbrushed out of the product photos, but I can barely see them, it likely depends on how you position it. The wood is beautifully finished, very smooth to the touch, and has no jagged edges. It was also very easy to assemble. It feels sturdy, and the natural wood finish is especially appealing. We may stain it later, but for now, I really like the natural look. I was also happy that we received all of the screws needed, and the holes lined up perfectly. I did take off one star because I expected it to be slightly larger, especially since we have other organizers that accommodate 12-inch cubes.
