I bought one last year that seemed to have a better opening. The first time I opened this the cord went through the loop. Fortunately, it didn't go too far for me to rescue it. Now I have a paperclip there to make sure that doesn't happen again. They do make these with a zipper that would be easier to get through when you want to pick some fruit. Recently had 17 year Brood X cicadas emerge in May. I had planted a Weeping Cherry last fall. After much research I knew I needed to protect my tree from the cicadas. As soon as I saw the first cicada I covered the tree with this net. Thank goodness I did. They were all over the net but not one got on my tree. I was worried the net would cause stress on the tree but it didn’t cause any problems. After 5 weeks the cicadas had gone through their cycle.
