I very recently dove into photography as a hobby, to replace my last one which involved a controller and a television. This is going to be much more fun. I wanted to ease into it with some basic stuff like a tripod, etc and while looking for a lens hood, I came across this gem in a rock pile. At this price point (and with no experience) I didn't expect a whole lot. I certainly didn't expect what I got. The UV, CPL and FLD filters come in a lightweight nylon pouch which doesn't seem to be very durable, at first glance. It's the one in the picture stamped "Vivitar". It has four mesh pockets for the filters meaning there's also room to keep the literature that came with them in one of the pockets. The mesh on the pockets are made of stiff nylon that just screams "Scratch!!" Not to put too fine of a point on it but the case kind of sucks. Which is why I just now (seriously! A couple of minutes ago...) ordered this one: https://www.amazon.com/Altura-Photo-Circular-MagicFiber-Microfiber/dp/B0083WYFWG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1500593594&sr=1-1&keywords=altura+filter+case I chose it as a replacement because it's almost the same (different coloration) as the pouch from this kit that holds the macro lenses. More in a moment. The filters are of good quality manufacture and I've been using them as I learn my way around the camera. I've certainly seen differences in my pictures and feel like with just the little things like this, I might even get good at the taking of the pictures. Onward! The macro lenses, the ND filters and the pouches (NO! Let us not forget about the pouches!!) are made by Altura Photo, also of very good material and manufacture. I haven't had the opportunity to get out and about to run these through their paces but at home and in horrible lighting I can already see how these are going to help me get a little closer to realizing the capability of my camera. I mean, seriously, when I wanted to get up close and personal with the tiniest little dew drop before I got these I was like "That's it? That's the best I can do?". With the macro lenses, however, I get not only the dew drop but what's floating around in the dew drop. And I'm new at this! Of course you get the lens hoods, one full coverage collapsable with two positions and one hard plastic tulip shaped one with a locking ring threaded onto it. The lens cap tether is a nice touch and the 4" x 4" micro fiber cloth is just... well... expected. You oughta get one with everything. Duct tape? Micro fiber cloth. Crock Pot? Micro fiber cloth. Micro fiber cloth? Uh... yeah... take two... Finally, there's this fixation I have with the pouches. There's a reason for it. There's the fact that they are just SO nice. The exterior is a much heavier duty textured nylon with really good padding while the inside pockets are a much softer, flexible mesh. And they're purple inside. Purple. Yeah, I think they're pretty... so? Anyway, the practical point to consider is that if they put that kind of care into making the pouch, then how much more care did they put into the filters and lenses that they put *inside* of the pouches. Hmm? Ok, so enough about the pouches. Here they are, Altura and Digital Goja. Quality and satisfaction from "Proceed to checkout" to using in the field. Guaranteed, just like it says in the description. Oh, one more thing... Pouches! HA! Lied. (Check out Digital Goja's YT channel, too!) ... show more

  • Wow. Just wow.
I’m blown away. I am new to the whole photography thing and usually used my phone for pictures but I have longed for a real camera. I ordered the 52 mm for my Kodak AZ528 and they fit amazingly! I played with them today and I am so shocked on the sturdiest and how well it improved my pictures. The ring is made of metal and the lens are not flimsy at all. Which I was very worried about because they are the cheapest filters I could find. I would give them 6/5 stars if I could! ... show more

  • Great value
Size: 58MM
I have not been able to utilize all of these items, but the UV filter is fabulous. And having the extra lens caps and hoods. I would suggest a quick guide be included to explain what each filter does.

  • A huge value for the money
First off let me begin by saying that these filters were not my first choice, I was advised to get the much more expensive Hoya branded filters. With that said I am sure the more money you put into these things the better results youll most likely end up with, but for what these cost, well the images I submitted with this review speaks to the quality of pictures you can capture with these filters. I have been using these for a few weeks now since I got them and I can say that they have really helped up my game when it comes to getting some fantastic shots. The CPL filter will be your best friend nearly all the time unless you shoot in the dark. You can get the blues from the sky that you want and colors that absolutely pop. This filter also helps with UV being an issue and really helps keep that under control. The UV filter kind of speaks for itself and it good alone when combined with the macro lenses or the Neutral Density filters. the macro filters are cheap and fairly good alternative to a $600 lens. Granted these filters WILL NOT produce the same quality of image a true macro lens can BUT they are a good "cheat" until you can get one. As you can see they do quite well mixed with a Nikkor 18-55mm. You will get the most value from the +4 and +10 macro filters honestly, the +1 and +2 can do a good job, but I find I dont get the quality of images I want from those. I NEVER use the FPL filter since you can typically adjust the settings on the camera to compensate for shooting indoor. One thing about these filters that I havent read much on is how they are threaded. When you use them individually they are fine and work wonderfully, but when you begin to stack them (since its going to happen) it is very easy to cross thread them and get them stuck together, so be careful when stacking the filters. Have fun shooting!! ... show more

  • Great value pack
Works perfectly with my Panasonic FZ300 camera. My outside video quality has improved in my cinematic shoots. The lenses came with a pouch and the value pack is worth the price.

  • Perfect Accessory Kit for Beginners (Works on Nikon D5500 50mm lens)
Size: 58MM
Photography is my hobby, so for me, this kit is perfect for my Nikon D5500. For my recent trip, I mostly use the filters (didn't get a chance to use the ND filters). When you hold the filters in hand, you definitely feel the material being used is high quality. It made me feel like a premium product quality. I did try to use the macro filter but was not able to successfully capture a sharp photo. It is definitely not the product since I didn't really learn how to use it properly. However, for UV and CPL filters, it was easy to use and the pictures at the beginning speak for itself. The rubber lens hood is really nice but it tricky to place it in the middle option. I wasn't able to use the flower lens hood since it wouldn't screw on, so I contacted the customer service, they immediately send me the replacement of it which works perfectly. I haven't use the ND filters yet but it would be beneficial to the customer if they sell a different filter with UV and CPL instead of selling ND4 filter. That's because you also get an ND4 filter in the ND filter kit/set. On a side note, shout out to their customer service :) I use their 52-58mm step-up ring so I could use all of these accessories on 52mm lenses for my Nikon D5500. Definitely recommend it, especially for beginners. ... show more
