It runs string and has given me zero issues ever in a month of daily use for 3-4hrs every day. Its lite weight and easy to carry. Its much quieter than a traditional open frame generator. So far I am impressed. 56 pounds so not difficult to lift and move. Oil level not specified so I had to pour and check multiple times. I think in the end it took about 12 ozs. Put gas in, turned choke to on, opened fuel line., put On switch on. 1 pull to prime. 2nd pull “vroooom” started up. Quiet, in economy mode even quieter. Plugged in light bulb to be sure electricity was coming out. Shut it off and re-started in one pull. I especially like the removable gas filter in the tank, the shut off gas line and the drain screw on the carburetor. These features are especially helpful when storing unit and preventing gas from gumming up. Hopefully this will not disappoint me when I put it to task in an emergency. Right now 4 + stars at this price and ease of start up. ... show more

Got here quicker than expected. Just unpacked it and I am running it now. Remind any buyers that it does NOT come with oil. There is some light shipping oil in it but this is to stop components seizing up in storage. I recommend just pulling it through without starting it to get the oil around it first. It started first pull. And when you start it, it may run rough as mine did. I stopped it turned the choke off and it is running fine. Another point that it does have some limitations. I would not recommend running air conditioners water heaters clothes dryers on it. Or any power hunger appliances they Probably will over load it. And I am not sure of it will power a whole house. But it will power whet you need like fridges, freezers TV lights etc. using it to charge my phone right now. Don’t over load it or you may encounter issues. It is for emergency use of camping. Which is what I got it for so it will be just right for me next time we have one of our regular power outages. ... show more

Absolutely floored for the runtime on this little dude. For initial break in ran a half tank of gas through it in eco mode, got right at 7 hours of runtime on 1 gallon of zero ethanol 91 octane. Was pushing everything in my small camper but the AC for all but the last hour and then turned the AC on. 13500 BTU unit (from 1989) kicked it out of eco finally but it handled the spike like a champ, no faults or overloads. Quieter than I expected, was easy to start, 4 cranks from dry and it fired right up. Unit is compact and easy to store and move as well. Time will tell how long it holds up, but initial impressions are this little generator punches well above its weight class. Addendum: really out it though its paces finally. Had a power outage and had to rely on this to keep everything running through the night. Filled the tank and fired it up at 10 pm. Eco mode on after the initial surge connecting it. At 6 am it was still running. It was just about empty, but 10 hours of runtime on 2 gallons of fuel with a light load is far beyond my expectations for the price. ... show more

4 star as this is still my initial review. It seems to work as expected. It was a little difficult for this elderly lady to start the first time. But it did start. There is nothing to say what oil to get. So I got some 10w40 I will use this for my break in oil and then switch to the recommended 10w30. Initially I am pleased with this generator After using this for a while I am generally happy with it. I still sometimes struggle to start it. But I am a 65 year old woman who can usually get it started. I have not used the 30 amp circuit to run my RV yet as I want to get my rv checked out first. But I do run most of what I need inside my rv straight from the generator. Including my oxygenator which is why I purchased this. When operating my oxygenator it does seem to draw more power as it uses the gas faster. But it does the job. Follow-up if you turn the fuel on and leave it on for a minute or so first… it starts so much faster and easier. I have used it to run the 30 amp circuit on my RV and while it does increase the speed that it uses the fuel it works fine. ... show more
