This was a really great gift for my son (about to be 7) who is just getting into collecting Pokemon. It had the right number of cards and all were in good shape. They seem real but I can't full comment on that since I am new to pokemon collecting myself. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was because there were 3 duplicates and 8 of the cards were in what I believe is Japanese. I wouldn't have been upset about the duplicates if the listing didn't specifically say 'No Duplicates' and on a similar note if the listing had stated that a number of the cards might be in a different language, I may have chosen a different listing. While if he was just collecting this likely wouldn't be a problem, he is trying to learn how to play the game as well rendering these cards basically unusable. ... show more

All shiny, no repeats. I'm a happy customer, even if a lot of them are common cards. Considering how most booster packs are running for $10 each, I consider this a very good deal.

    • Still Got Duplicates not Pokemon “Shiny”
Cards were in good shape, should have been shipped in a box, rather than an envelope, as the corners were a bit beat up. Also it says no duplicates, and tho there weren’t many, this was not true. I received 5 duplicates. Listing also is a bit misleading, as it says shiny…the cards were all foils as described, but “shiny” to a Pokémon enthusiast, means something different. I did not receive any shiny Pokémon from this pack. It’s not a bad value, but not exactly as promised either. ... show more

Ok, I was about to rant in my review because the very first 6 cards were duplicates of 2 Pokemon. I started writing how upset I was and then it occured to me. “Maybe I should count the cards first to make sure I didn’t get shorted in addition to my duplicates.” Well, I counted, I ended up counting 55 cards. So I technically got 51 unique cards. So that’s a slay. However I am still a little frustrated at the duplicates but happy I ended up with an extra. For the price it’s good too. ... show more
