This shelving unit exceeded my expectations for the price point. Assembly was simple and intuitive once you understand the design. The plastic connector slides into one pole and then into the second pole, allowing both pieces to align securely and form a strong vertical support. The side rails are designed in a teardrop shape, which is very important during assembly — the wider portion must face upward and the narrower portion downward. Once positioned correctly, the shelves lock into place smoothly and feel well-supported. While assembling, the unit may feel slightly flexible, but once fully built and standing, it becomes surprisingly stable. For its intended purpose — organizing light to medium household, pantry, garage, or storage items — it performs very well. The five-tier layout provides excellent vertical storage and helps maximize space efficiently without crowding. Although the shelves are not designed for extremely heavy industrial loads, they are more than sufficient for bins, pantry goods, tools, cleaning supplies, and general household organization. The structure holds its shape nicely when used as intended. What I appreciated most is how practical and space-saving this unit is. It allows you to organize without needing bulky furniture, and it blends well in multiple environments — garage, pantry, laundry room, closet, or basement. Overall, this shelving unit offers outstanding value for the price. It is functional, easy to assemble, visually clean, and highly useful. This shelving unit is such a space saver in my garage! Holds so much and can stand to hold really heavy items! When still in the box it was quite heavy but once you put it together the weight is distributed so that it is easy to move around. Very sturdy with zero wobbles. My husband was able to put it together in about 30 minutes while i cooked dinner. The instructions were straightforward enough to be able to understand and follow. The first couple pieces he put together he did wrong but that was from user error and not looking at the directions. The "Jello" shelves review by Yup is the MOST accurate review on this product. (That is also an insult to the fine quality of Jello.) These shelves are so flimsy. Thankfully, I only needed a light-duty shelving unit for holding boxes of seasonal decor. Nothing heavy should be put on these. The shelf boards are so thin, and I do not trust the metal frame. Assembly went ok, after I tossed the instructions and built it the same way I've built other shelf units. I gave up trying to hammer in the top and bottom caps. If you have never built utility shelves before I really wish you the best of luck on these. You may chuck the entire thing in frustration. As soon as you get one side in, the other side will pop out. You will have to manipulate the metal hole portion a bit to get the brace bars to align. It's fun torture, if you are into that sort of thing. Did I get a cheap shelf? Yes. Did I pay a cheap shelf price? Yes. Would I recommend or buy again? Certainly not. The cheap plastic utility shelves would have been better. ... show more

It seems a bit more flimsy than what I imagined when ordering it, however it is easy to put together and once assembled it does get stronger. I think it would work best if up against a wall, or something you can attach it to. The metal shelves are well built and seem fairly strong

For the price I paid the units are ok. I wouldn't put to much weight on the shelves. The unit isn't very sturdy. I do like that you can make it into two separate pieces, one with 2 shelves and one with 3 shelves. Also need to be aware of the fiber board shelves. Any moisture will completely ruin them. Very easy to assemble. Didn’t expect much when I opened the package but the final product turned out great! It’s light but sturdier than other shelved I have. It fits well in my Lego room and if it remains stable I’ll be getting more to fill up the room.
