It is my personal opinion that this type of furniture is overpriced. That said, for what it is, I really like this unit and do not regret buying. If I had room I would buy another one. Build was super easy and quick, instructions were clear. Little wrench for the cross bars was badly sized and the bolts for them stick out and will scratch your walls. I have painters tape over them for now until I get caps (which should have been included). Overall though, solid purchase and already covered in Lego builds by the kid who’s room it was for.

I generally like this bookcase. It wasn’t too difficult to assemble, but make sure you pay attention to the little stickers which tell you what parts are which and the orientation of the screw holes for the back bracing. I accidentally got one wrong and had to partially disassemble it to correct my mistake. It’s pretty sturdy once assembled, and has to cross braces on the back side. One issue I have is that the screws to secure the braces in the middle stick out a bit and keep it from sitting flat against the wall, and they could also scratch up your walls paint if you aren’t careful. It comes with a little wrench to tighten those nuts, but it’s cheap and flat and very hard to use; you’d be better off with an adjustable wrench or a socket wrench for that task. The rest of the bookcase can be easily assembled with the included pair of Allen wrenches. Additionally, the shelves themselves, although made of real wood, are skinny looking compared to the metal frame, and are kind of an ugly brown (matter of taste I suppose). The footpads screw in to the bottom and are adjustable for leveling, which is nice for tile or uneven flooring.

I needed a new bookshelf, as my old one had seen better days and was falling apart. I got this, hoping that it wouldn't be a pain to assemble. I am happy to report that assembly is pretty easy and straightforward. All the pieces are labeled and the instructions are clear. It comes with 2 allen wrenches and a little crescent wrench so you don't need any extra tools. I saw that the instructions said multiple times NOT to tighten anything until the end, so I did heed that message and I had no problems with everything lining up correctly and being able to screw everything in tight at the end. The bookshelf is lightweight but sturdy. It comes with hardware to attach it to the wall for extra stability but I don't have anything heavy on the upper shelves and the bookshelf feels stable without attaching it to the wall. They could come down $10-15 on the price point in my opinion, but other than that, I have no complaints about this item. Looks great in my living room!

As an avid reader, there are just piles of books around my house. I have been looking for a bookcase for a long time, but its hard to find one that looks/is sturdy at a good price point. Either that or you get the cart bookcases that can't fit the amount of books that I need in a bookshelf. This bookcase is very easy to build, just make sure you are paying attention to the metal blocks as some of the have to be facing the back way. I screwed this up but I was able to fix it without taking the whole bookcase apart, thankfully! Overall it took 15 minutes to build. Once its built, its heavy and sturdy. It looks so nice when put together, not like a cheap particle board bookcase. Easy to move but a tad heavy, which is what you would want from a bookcase. It holds all my books and has room for more if I stack them. Great bookcase for a good price! Buy this!

Assembly of the item was ok and directions were easy read. There are five tiers and according to the information each shelf can hold up to 165 pounds each so the item may be good for a fish tank or other items that may be heavy. Keeping heavier items on the lower tiers may be wise to help prevent tipping over. The item goes well in a home office/ study area or as part of a living room in my opinion.
