Great bookshelf, horrible instructions! Let me start out by saying after putting it together I absolutely love it and it feels extremely solid. However....putting it together was probably one of the biggest pains. The instructions showed board pieces that didn't match up with what I received... for example: the longer boards only have 3 holes on the far edges but the instructions showed 4 holes. To make it even more difficult the instructions also listed boards in different alphabets while all mine were labeled with just one sticker. It was literally like putting together a jigsaw puzzle...which granted I felt accomplished afterwards because I completely winged it and ignored the instructions after about halfway through realizing none of it made sense. Overall it looks great when I finally put it together but I wish you the best of luck with the instructions and putting it together! ... show more

The bookshelf was easy to assemble...it only took my husband 35 minutes from start to finish without any assistance. He did say that there is not enough glue included he had to use extra from our personal supply! He also suggested that Step 3 if you turn instruction upside down it might help you follow easier. The box it was delivered in was Not damaged, but when we unwrapped we found several shelf’s damaged, luckily I have a repair kit for wood. Amazing......!!!!! It looks soooo good in my living room. I had an empty space that needed to be filled and this did it. And it matches my contemporary feel I got going on in the House. It took me a minute to figure out the directions because some of the parts didn’t match what was in the package. But if you put it togther by just looking at the picture for a little bit you will figure it out. Took me about an hour to put togther. Oh yeah and the bottom white piece that tell you to put at the bottom, I found made it very wobbly so I took them off and put oversized round self adhesive felt pads undernieth and it work perfect. Received a board that was badly damaged on one side. The seller told me a few months ago that they would send me a replacement board but I have yet to see a replacement nor do I want to anymore. Too much time has passed and I found myself having to make due. Overall it looks nice once it's put together, unfortunately, you don't know if you're gonna get damaged boards or not so BUYER BEWARE. ... show more

I would write the review in points: PROS: 1. It arrived very well packed as I would expect for such product. 2. It took quite good amount of time to build this from the parts. So don't buy if you don't want to spend time/ don't like these type of work. I love assembling stuff and it was really fun and I liked it so much that I might even do it for some of my friends :). 3. Once it is assembled, it was quiet stable and it looks really good and modern. CONS: 1. Although minor, but some of the 'H' parts(the T's in between) were little misaligned, those didn't fit as good as the other. But you won't notice unless you are looking at the furniture closely. 2. The assembly description could have been little better. Out of 10 'H' parts, 5 has different holes and it doesn't mention which one to put where, although it was not too difficult to find. Also it could be more specific about optimal process of applying the gum while assembling. I figured it out at the later part of assembly. But wish I knew it better from the beginning. Overall I am really happy about the purchase and would definitely recommend it to a friend. ... show more

Unique shape, room for many different sized objects; I love it! Easy to assemble, as long as you use the photo as well as the instructions. Slightly odd that the center shelves area (with the back-board) are half as deep as the rest - the back-board is in the center of the shelf, not at the back.

The shelf itself is great - just what I expected. The assembly instructions are terrible, though. The text is very confusing and there are mistakes. For instance, two pages are "Step 3" at the top, but one is really Step 2. The pictures are difficult to understand and are missing key labels. I have assembled a lot of furniture and I was able to do it, but not without much more frustration than I should have had. Other than that, though, it's a nice piece. ... show more

The instructions are a complete and total disaster. All of the panels are mislabeled. You'll eventually figure it out after some trial and error - save the glue for after you figure out how it all fits together.
