I would write the review in points: PROS: 1. It arrived very well packed as I would expect for such product. 2. It took quite good amount of time to build this from the parts. So don't buy if you don't want to spend time/ don't like these type of work. I love assembling stuff and it was really fun and I liked it so much that I might even do it for some of my friends :). 3. Once it is assembled, it was quiet stable and it looks really good and modern. CONS: 1. Although minor, but some of the 'H' parts(the T's in between) were little misaligned, those didn't fit as good as the other. But you won't notice unless you are looking at the furniture closely. 2. The assembly description could have been little better. Out of 10 'H' parts, 5 has different holes and it doesn't mention which one to put where, although it was not too difficult to find. Also it could be more specific about optimal process of applying the gum while assembling. I figured it out at the later part of assembly. But wish I knew it better from the beginning. Overall I am really happy about the purchase and would definitely recommend it to a friend. ... show more

The shelf itself is great - just what I expected. The assembly instructions are terrible, though. The text is very confusing and there are mistakes. For instance, two pages are "Step 3" at the top, but one is really Step 2. The pictures are difficult to understand and are missing key labels. I have assembled a lot of furniture and I was able to do it, but not without much more frustration than I should have had. Other than that, though, it's a nice piece. ... show more

Amazing......!!!!! It looks soooo good in my living room. I had an empty space that needed to be filled and this did it. And it matches my contemporary feel I got going on in the House. It took me a minute to figure out the directions because some of the parts didn’t match what was in the package. But if you put it togther by just looking at the picture for a little bit you will figure it out. Took me about an hour to put togther. Oh yeah and the bottom white piece that tell you to put at the bottom, I found made it very wobbly so I took them off and put oversized round self adhesive felt pads undernieth and it work perfect. Received a board that was badly damaged on one side. The seller told me a few months ago that they would send me a replacement board but I have yet to see a replacement nor do I want to anymore. Too much time has passed and I found myself having to make due. Overall it looks nice once it's put together, unfortunately, you don't know if you're gonna get damaged boards or not so BUYER BEWARE. ... show more

All corners messed up. Part of the bottom wood also cracked. It’s not study and wobbles. Had to fix myself because it was for a client and had no time to return and buy another. Pain to build, 3 hours between two people.

This bookshelf ends up looking exactly as depicted in the picture. I would have given it 5-stars except for some of the really cheap "finishes" (such as black "stickers" to cover up screw holes, that immediately fall off) and somewhat confusing assembly instructions. At the end of the day, I did assemble and upright two of these bookshelves to stand end-to-end and use as a room divider. They are fairly sturdy, and I feel like it would take a real conscious effort to knock them over. The geometric, offset shelves make it very interesting to place your keepsakes, photos and books. You will also discover that the partial "back" sections are meant to be mounted in the middle of the shelf, which means you would have a very small shelf-width to place anything. I opted to glue them into place when all assembly was done, at the very back of the shelf area, so I have the full shelf-width. If you smacked them really hard, they might fall out, but they shouldn't fall out on their own. For assembly, take everything out of the box and organize it. Then lay it out EXACTLY as shown in the instructions. Mentally walk yourself through each step before you actually screw, tack or glue anything into place. I actually assembled it upside down, rather than lying on it's side, which made it much easier. I'd get these again, so they are worth the money and effort it takes. But please do go slowly and take time to really understand what goes where and why. ... show more
