These drums were assembled incorrectly, with all of the drumheads being upside-down (or inside-out, if you prefer). My elementary school kids have already broken 2 heads. The drums sound fine, feel pretty good, and you can demonstrate most musical techniques with them. Just be gentle. These are fun for kids, but they will not last more than a single year in a classroom. At this price, that's not the worst thing in the world, but you should know what you're getting.

This 5-piece frame drum set is a fun and versatile addition to my percussion kit. For a synthetic set, the sound quality is good. The heads provide a surprisingly full tone with a nice sense of layering across the different sizes. I was able to achieve a variety of clear sounds, and the drums themselves are very lightweight and easy to hold. Each drum includes its own 8.2-inch mallet, which is perfect for group play or rhythm circles. I am giving this 4 stars because there were some visible glue marks on the surface of a few of the drums. While this is strictly a cosmetic issue and doesn't affect the sturdiness or playability, it is worth noting for those who care about the visual finish.

These hand drums are fun to play and sound very nice. I especially like the sound of the two biggest ones. It's a super simple design, they certainly aren't manufactured to professional quality or anything, but for the number of different sized drums you get at this price, they're a good value and I've got no complaints at all. They should be reasonably durable so long as they're cared for.
