I’ve heard of SPF for years but had no clue what UPF meant when I saw this sun / swim / fishing shirt. My online search and research shows that “UPF measures the amount of Ultraviolet radiation that can Penetrate a fabric and reach a person's skin ( Ultraviolet Penetration Factor ). SPF measures how long it takes for ultraviolet exposed skin to start to redden and burn. ( Sun Penetration Factor ). “ There are details online showing how UPF fabrics are tested and how little UV gets through this type of shirt. This shirt from JumGear Life and sold by HayChow is well made from a very soft stretchable fabric and it feels like many dri weave style shirts my husband wears. The color of blue is brighter than navy and more in the medium range from light to dark blues. The color has a heather appearance meaning that the flecks like most gray T-shirts. It is a somewhat subtle blue that would look great with blue jeans. We ordered the 2XL based on the size chart and it fits my husband exactly as expected. The short sleeved version here will not offer as much UPF protection as a long sleeve shirt, but should be more comfortable on our 100- 110° summer days. The fabric is 90% polyester and 10% spandex. Based on the type of fabric, I don’t expect the nice blue color to fade. I have measured this shirt in a 2XL and included those measurements in my photos. I measure areas most sellers don’t hoping to help someone that’s hard to fit. I measure front seam to seam and back seam to seam. For the total circumference, add the two together. I hope my thoughts and measurements help someone trying to find the right UPF shirt.

The Short Sleeve for Men UPF 50+ Sun Protection Athletic Workout shirt looks and feels nice to slip in! It fit the size I was looking for and it is so far a solid shirt to wear both as an undershirt or casual shirt. It states that it is purple but it really falls more on a dark Heather Grey but with a blue tint to it. It didn’t matter as it is a nice neutral color that should pair with just about anything you want with it. The material is soft and well put together so I think it should last you for a while in terms of a sports shirt. Flexible and cool, not too heavy but not too light which is always a plus for hot weather conditions. All in all a good find!

Review of Short Sleeve Shirts for Men UPF 50+ Sun Protection Athletic Workout Fishing Hiking Quick Dry T Shirts Ma Purple 3XL I wear a lot of these poly workout shirts. I’m a sweater, so I love that these shirts wick sweat from my torso. This shirt performs well. It wicks well and dries fast. I particularly like that it is a heavier fabric than most, so I can wear it on cooler days. Note: oddly the listing calls this color “purple.” I would call it more of a dark gray heather. See my photos. Earns 5 stars because it performs better than expected.

Needed more dri-fit/moisture-wicking shirts because I sweat A LOT. I wore this to the gym and it performed well enough so I might consider using it when I plan to be outdoors for extended amounts of time, although I know these types of shirts inherently absorb your odors as well so you need to consider your options as well.
