SUPER FAST SHIPPING! Just arrived today. Exact fit for my needs. The 4wd on my 95 Blazer stopped working a couple of days ago and with winter approaching, need to get it going. My transfer case shifts normally with the 2High/4High/4Low button presses but the front axle doesn't engage. These have a detent ball that can get sticky and not send vacuum to the actuator. Price was right for a Dorman OEM replacement. Purchased a set of thin wrenches to get into the limited space to change this ... show more

    • Hub Actuator Vacuum Switch. As good as the original, maybe better.
This was EXACTLY the part that I needed - the old vacuum switch was allowing a partial leak of vacuum into the line going to the hub lock actuator diaphragm mechanism, causing a "gear grinding" sound to come from the front axle, as the hubs were trying to partially engage even in 2 Wheel Drive. Replacing this switch made sure that vacuum was applied only when it was supposed to be. The old one was stuck with the ball plunger partially depressed, thus the leak in the old one. One installation hint: This part is tipped just a TINY bit forward when properly lined up to thread into the hole in the top of the transfer case. It does NOT go in perfectly vertical. Otherwise, you can spend hours trying to get it in! Also, make sure that you have the little pin on the switch lined up with the depression on the triple line going to it, so that the lines are not mixed up. Otherwise, it WILL NOT work properly! ... show more

Dorman 600-500 Transfer Case Switch-Compatible with Select Chevrolet / GMC / Oldsmobile Vacuum switch appears to leak. OLD one (removed) would not –disengage- the 4WD this NEW one (installed) will not –engage- the 4WD Appears to be a defective switch. Not a lot of fun to install. If driven with this installed it would probably suck up transfer case oil as the leak appears to be around the lower area. I would not recommend this. ... show more
