I wish my lawn looked this good! I am an amateur miniature hobbyist. Since I am just starting out in the world of miniature kits, I thought this would be great to have in my arsenal of additional details kit. I've only done a couple of DIY's and have already thought it would be nice to add some more realistic grass rather than a printed surface or the really cheap plastic-ee grass. I am currently working on another project that is an indoor project so I thought I'd just do a little test on these 6 x 6 pieces. I didn't want to waste a whole piece so I cut one in half. First, I noticed there wasn't any fraying or loss of product when cut and it cut very easily with a good pair of shears and/or with a utility knife. It was easy to cut in circles and in waves. I believe it would be easy to surround another object without a lot of difficulty. My next little test was to see how different glues would affect it. I used Elmer's Glue All to attach to a piece of wood. I didn't need much at all and it adhered nicely without fear of it loosening. I then used Gorilla Glue gel to adhere to a plastic piece and once again had positive results. Lastly, I used B7000 glue and this time I folded a piece in half gluing it to itself. I had to put a book on top for a few minutes and it did work but I wouldn't recommend for tiny details. Overall, I will suggest to go ahead and purchase this if you're looking for artificial grass for ANY craft. The price is very do-able and I've already added more to my cart! ... show more

4Pcs 6x6 Inch Fake Grass Decor for Crafts, Premium Realistic Miniature Artificial Grass, Easy to Cut & Shape Artificial Turf for Mini Fairy Garden, Dollhouse, Diorama It's a little short of the specified 6"x6". It's about 3mm tall and is fairly light weight at about 9 grams for each piece. At first glance it looks like felt, but upon closer inspection there are individual "grass" fibers on top of the lime-green felt backing. The surface texture feels vaguely similar to the soft loop side of a velcro fastener; however, since there are no loops velcro won't attach to it. I took a photo of the product's side view. The felt backing is less than 0.5mm thick and the grass is about 3mm tall, with some strands as long as about 6mm. The product is easy to bend, so it will cover surfaces that aren't flat. I didn't initially notice much shedding, except when cutting there will be tons of tiny fibers everywhere. However, afterwards I noticed tiny fibers on my desk, keyboard, on top of the scale, and other places where I had brought it. The color seems a shade darker than real grass, though that may just be due to the ambient light. From the close-up photo, it appears like there are 2 different colors of fibers -- a darker green and a lighter one. That may be why it looks more realistic than if there were just a single color fiber. I tried splashing some water on it, and on the grass side the water could be brushed off; however, the felt side soaked up the water (as would be expected). My wife collects gnomes and I like taking pictures of them. She has about 5 really tiny gnomes, along with some tiny mushrooms, that I've yet to capture. This grass is good for miniature photography but I had to fluff a couple of them to make the grass a little more realistic. I've attached pictures of the grass so you can see how they look but if you're looking for tiny fake grass for your creative needs, this will do. ... show more

I picked up this 4-pack of 6x6 fake grass squares for a few small projects, and they’ve been surprisingly handy. The texture looks more realistic than the shiny plastic turf you sometimes see, especially once it’s cut down and tucked into a fairy garden or diorama. Each square is flexible enough to trim with regular scissors, and it doesn’t shed or fall apart at the edges when you cut it to size. I’ve used it for a mini fairy garden and a dollhouse yard, and it instantly makes the scenes look more finished and intentional. The pieces lie flat without curling, and a little glue on the back is enough to keep them in place on cardboard, plastic, or wood. Because they’re small squares, it’s easy to mix and match or layer them without wrestling a big roll of turf. I was pleasantly surprised by how realistic this artificial grass looks. The texture is soft and fluffy, and the fibers stand upright in a way that really mimics real grass.
