I purchased this item to install LED lights under the dash of my car. I did not want to use the DC adapter for the power, so I decided to hardwire the lights to my fuse box. Please note to make sure you order the proper kit for your vehicle, as there are different sizes of fuses. The easiest way to get the right set is to simply remove one fuse and compare it to the 4 different fuse sizes. The one that matches (in my case was the micro2) is the set you need to purchase. Very simple to use and it comes with fuses that you would need. This kit essentially allows you to provide power to two devices using the same fuse slot. I connected my lights to only turn on when the key is in ACC mode (not running) and when the vehicle is started. When I turn the car off, the lights turn off as well so it doesn't drain the battery. Kit works perfectly and comes with 4 adapters, so if you need to hardwire something else like a radar detector or dashcam kit, you will have what you need already.

Fit perfectly and tight so no slips later. Needed this since the Rexing cam didn't specify what fuse it supported. Fitment said it fit my car, so you'd figure everything would fit your car - not Amazon's fault since I got the cam somewhere else. Nice and inexpensive fix.

These worked great for my Dash Camera install on my 2017 F150. They fit into the fuse slot on my truck with no modification (some fuse taps are bigger than the slot and have to be shaved down). I was very happy to find they fit without any extra effort. The fuse tap can be installed in either direction on my truck. I have attached a diagram of possible fuse tap orientation. The more correct way is to install the tap so both the original fuse and the new fuse get power independently (top fuse tap in the diagram). On my F150, if the pigtail of the fuse tap is pointing toward the engine, that would be the preferred orientation (both new and original fuse get power independently). If you have to install the tap in the other orientation (bottom in the diagram) both the new load and the original load draw power across the original fuse. Most of the time that is not going to be a problem as long as the original fuse does not have a heavy load on it. You can easily test your orientation by installing the tap without the original fuse installed but with the new fuse you are adding installed. If you get power then you are in the preferred orientation. If you only get power when both the original fuse and the new fuse are installed, then you are drawing both the original load and new load through the original fuse.

This kit had everything I needed. My dashcam came with a hard wire kit but it had the wrong size fuse splitter. I ordered this kit to complete the install. The kit came with the correct fuses I needed and the plug was the same as the one on the hardwire kit so I did not have to splice any wires. Complete plug and play. The only issue was the enclosed fuse puller was too wide to remove the fuses from the fuse box.
