Watch does not tether to your phone without separate cell service despite the ad saying you can connect through the app. You cannot use GPS, messaging, calling, SOS, or even the pedometer without cell service. The app does not tether the watch to your device. Does NOT have Bluetooth functionality. The only parts of this watch that function without you paying for a separate phone line are the games, camera, and alarm. My 5 year old smartwatch tethers to my phone just fine but this pile of junk cannot.

It works for normal phone calls, video calls it seems it doesn’t have good service, it’s always glitching out wherever my son makes the call from, location doesn’t update, and just gives parameters not exact location. It’s okay for the price.

We just got this for my daughter. Honestly, it does everything we wanted- video call. you do need to buy a SIM card for it to make calls.But there is a huge downside and I’m not sure if I’ll keep this watch. Firstly, you communicate thru an app. I am fine with that part but the app has tons of ads, so many that it interrupts the reason why we got this in the first place- calling or connecting with my child. Secondly, almost immediately, the app wanted me to update the location services. It took me to a whole other ap. It thought I was in the middle of China when it’s not connecting and I live in the United States. That’s pretty off. When we did get the location to work, it pinned my watch at my neighbors house and then reset it and then the other neighbor‘s house. I don’t mean to share this in a weird way, but the entire interface feels entirely foreign and not modern Americanized. Definitely not an interface that you would expect for tech today. I’m giving this watch two stars because it does function the way we needed to function, but the entire interface makes me uncomfortable and we are exploring other options. But truly, it is hard to find an affordable option to do video calls with.

I really like all the features and the parent portal lets you do a lot without having the watch around. My child likes the features but the watch itself is quite bulky for his wrist. The band is not quite ideal for a small child because they have difficulty putting it on and taking it off. I switched it with a stretch band. The screen is bright and colorful with the touch being responsive.

I got this 4G Kids Smart Watch for my kid, and it’s been an amazing combo of safety and entertainment. The GPS tracking is very accurate, and the geo-fence feature gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll get alerts if they leave the area . My child loves the video calling and two-way calling, it is an easy way for us to stay connected without giving them a phone. The SOS button is a great safety backup, and the school mode helps them stay focused during class time. It also have multiple puzzle games, a pedometer, voice chat, alarm clock.
