After 2 months we still don’t have weeds, but wonderfully growing plants! Water gets through as needed, and the material and thickness are just as good as the expensive landscaping or home improvement store options. It was easy to roll out and only a scissors was needed to cut the length/shape we needed. We did get staples to keep it stable and in place until we put the rock on it as the wind kept blowing it up lol. I bought this to use as a walkway in the garden and so far it has been doing very, very well. It is thick, woven plastic so it allows the water to go through while also keeping down the weeds. It's very easy to cut to the length that is needed. I put concrete blocks down on mine to keep it in place but you could easily use landscape staples. I just didn't feel like using those this time. The size was just enough to finish my garden. You could use this for planting your veggies in by cutting a hole, but that's not how I'm trying it out this time. This is by far one of the best weed barriers I've used. It was flexible enough to easily cut and fit around trees and other landscaping, yet durable enough that it didn't tear while I was working with it. Most importantly, it works. I've used other weed barrier fabrics in the past that still allowed weeds to grow through, but nothing has made it through this mat. It has been instrumental in keeping my landscaping looking clean and weed-free. This is not landscaping fabric. It is a roll of plastic that shreds and creates a big mess when you try to cut it to size. I would have returned it but needed to complete a project asap.
