I bought the Professional Artificial Turf Grass Rug for my small dog, and it’s been a great addition to our patio setup. The grass looks surprisingly realistic, with a mix of green and light brown tones that mimic a healthy lawn. This is not your typical mat of fake grass. Because it is used for toilet training your dog, it does not have a rubbery, anti-slip coating on the bottom. Instead, it has numerous rows of raised stitching that creates air pockets under the turf mat. My guess is that these air pockets allow for easier drainage as well as for quicker drying. The raised rows also help make the mat less prone to slipping and sliding on rough concrete; I am presuming that these mats are going to be primarily used for concrete porches and balconies. Unlike other fake turf mats I have seen, this mat is not at all flimsy. Although it can be easily folded up for storage, it feels more durable. The fake grass is a nice medium-low cut, but not too low. And just like with actual older lawns, the green grass has an underlying layer of dried brown grass (fake) to provide a more authentic look and feel to the turf. At first, I felt that the grass looks too shiny to look realistic, then I realized that our lawn looks shiny too, when it has been well cared for and not dried out. So I am rather impressed by this faux grass toilet training mat; if only I could get our grass to look as nice.

More well-made than most small pieces of turf I've gotten here. I've had it out for two weeks now at the bottom of my RV steps and you can see that it is catching the dirt wonderfully, if the steps are any indication for you. We are right on the side of a mountain in a 2 door stationary RV. I had one for my entrance door, but my daughter wanted one, so I ordered this. I think it might even be better quality than the one I've had outside my doorstep for a year. Hoping it holds up just as well, if not better. These are invaluable for RV living. They just do such a good job grabbing the dirt and mud through all the seasons. And gives the dogs somewhere off of the hot dirt to wait to come in and out of the RV. The listing says is a 36" x 24", which sounds accurate. The photograph in the listing makes it look much thicker than it actually is on the underneath. The entire height of the bottom and the "grass" is about a 1/2"-2/3", the listing says is it 1.2 inches. Nope. Overall satisfied and though I think the price could've been a few bucks less, I may end up re-ordering a couple more pieces.

We have other types of this same thing and find that they are all great for our dog! This is very easy to keep clean as we use our outdoor Vacuum to pick up debris or other things our dog seems to like in the ourdoors. This has a great look and is very durable. It is thick enough so that our midsize dog is very comfortable on it. It is an excellent value for the money and we have been also using as an entry way into our greenhouse. We highly recommend!

Well, it certainly is grassy! I mean, it's obvious that it's not REAL grass, but a quick glance or from a distance, it might pass. I was more interested in putting it in the path that my dogs use to and from their yard, to help with dirty feet, and it does seem to work well for that. If only I could teach them to wipe their feet on it. So far, it's holding up really well in this high-traffic spot, any soil that it gets is washed off with the first rain, which is handy. Obviously, it doesn't smell like grass, either, but the dogs sure do seem to enjoy this grassy patch on their front porch. This seems like it would be a great alternative for places where grass doesn't grow well or evenly, or for places where grass would be impractical, like inside of the house.

The media could not be loaded. Our two cats are indoor cats, so they are not able to experience the great outdoors. I wanted to find a way to let them enjoy the feeling of grass without risking their safety, and I’m glad I found this artificial grass mat. This is a nice-sized mat — it reminds me of a large doormat but with realistic grass. Our cats immediately took to it and were instantly curious. They enjoyed the texture, rubbing their bodies on it and pawing at it. The material feels surprisingly close to real grass. The authenticity comes from how well the blades are made and how durable they feel. The backing is also strong and prevents the mat from slipping on the floor. What I really appreciate is how practical it is. It’s large enough for both cats to use at the same time, and after a week of scratching and rolling on it, the blades are still intact without shedding. Cleaning is simple — a quick shake removes fur and debris, and it can be rinsed off and air-dried when needed. The mat adds a soft, natural feel under their paws, and the cats seem to find it relaxing. Overall, this mat gives my cats a safe way to enjoy the feeling of grass indoors, and it’s durable, easy to maintain, and big enough for multiple uses. We truly enjoy it, and I’d recommend it to anyone with indoor cats looking for a clever way to bring the outdoors in.
