Sturdy, Stylish, and Surprisingly Easy to Assemble

The mix of wood and metal gives it a nice farmhouse/industrial look that fits well with a variety of styles, and it feels like it can work just as easily in a modern space as it does in a more rustic setup. Assembly was easy enough and everything lined up without much effort (sometimes holes are drilled so off center!). Once put together, the table feels very solid and stable with no wobbling. The lower shelf is especially useful for storage, perfect for books, remotes, and everyday items, so the top stays clear and uncluttered. We used some baskets underneath. Since it doesn't sit directly on the floor, dust accumulates underneath it. You can add some gliding pads to the bottom, or get someone to help you move it to clean. This is a heavy piece of furniture. One strong person can move it in the box but it’s definitely easier with two people to carry it. The metal frame is black. The tabletop has grey striations in the wood grain. Kind of an 'ashy black' wood tone. Overall, this is a sturdy, good-looking coffee table. Milefa makes SUCH solid stuff!

Great Table, but Not Black

This coffee table is a great option for larger living rooms or open spaces. The size gives it a nice presence in the room, and the lower shelf provides useful storage while still maintaining a clean, simple look. I may even install wheels on the bottom so it can be moved around easily. My only real complaint is with the color description. The listing photos are actually fairly accurate, but I would not describe the table surfaces as black as the seller does. It still looks nice, but if you are expecting a true black finish to match other furniture, it may not be exactly what you have in mind. For the price point, I was expecting something a bit flimsy, but this table is surprisingly sturdy and completely level once put together. That said it's flat pack furniture, so you have to put it together, it's a very large box and relatively heavy so if you have to lug it up stairs, be aware.
