I was disappointed with the quality of this item. If opened too wide accidentally, it breaks as the top piece is only held together with 2 screws. Also, the top shelf is not level due to the design of the product. The shelves are very thin and not sturdy. Good overall price, but not good quality.

With its novel modular design and incredibly cheap price tag, this bookcase is too good to be true. But you already knew that, didn’t you? It is easy to assemble and while the material is flimsy, it’s not much worse than your average cheap particle board furniture. The idea of having a bookcase split into two separate parts that can fit together in a number of ways is great. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no thought put into how the two pieces would fit together— so they don’t. I had to jam the pieces together and then put a book underneath one side of the bookcase to keep it relatively even. Using this as a corner bookcase just straight up does not work. All they need to do is take a few minutes to actually take measurements to make this thing worth it. Until that happens, I’d recommend finding some scrap wood in the trash and gluing it together rather than purchasing this thing. ... show more

If you have an odd sized area that would benefit from a book stand or any type furniture, this is your shelf. This truly does adjust size wise and does a good job in doing so. Measure to ensure the coverage is there and if it is you can be assured that it will fit. It works by combining two separate pieces into one by sliding them together. They never truly combine or attach themselves, but it doesn't affect the stability at all. Of course when they are apart they are very flimsy and can easily break. Make sure you keep this in mind while you are assembling this. It looks great. The wood is particle. However, if you are picky about that you should overlook it given how convenient it is to fit in your space. It is pretty decent quality and arrives in a flat pack. Assembly isn't bad, but you should pay attention to what you are doing. Particularly when you have two separate pieces as it could break. I can't say enough good things about this. I love that it fit in a space that I couldn't find a piece for. You can fit a ton of stuff on here as well. Great shelf. ... show more

While it's easy to put together but there's nothing holding the book shelf really together. The only way to get it some what stable is folded in a corner. The screws are easy to pull out of the wood when moving as well. I'm not confident it will last more than a year, less so of I ever have to move it. ... show more
