This set of packing accessories comes with 3 packing cubes – 1 Large, 1 Medium, 1 Small – and a shoe bag. All the items are made of a nylon that is durable and water resistant. However, each of the cubes has a mesh area for breathability so I suppose the water resistance is not for the entire cube. The items seem very well sewn together and not likely to tear easily. In testing their capacity I put a lot of pressure on the zippers with no issues. The shoe bag measures 16" x 9" when lying flat but the sides expand to accommodate a sizable pair of shoes or whatever else might fit, doesn't have to be shoes. A single zipper runs the length of this bag and a convenient handle is attached to one end. Personally I pack shoes individually in smaller bags and not in one large bag like this. I find that smaller, separate shoe bags offer a more flexible packing experience. The 3 packing cubes feature convenient handles sewn into one end. They each have a dual pull zipper that governs the main compartment and a wrap around zipper used to compress the contents. The Large size packing cube measures approximately 16" x 12" and can expand to 4" deep. The Medium packing cube is approximately 14" x 10" and can also expand to 4" deep. The Small packing cube is approximately 12" x 8" and can also expand to 4" deep. I took a pile of folded X-Large T-shirts and managed to get 12 shirts into the Large packing cube before I could not compress the stack any further. I then managed to stuff 18 folded T-shirts into the uncompressed cube. That does tell me that this Large compressed cube can hold approximately 2/3 of the uncompressed cube's capacity, give or take. However, I always roll up my clothes when packing and I managed to fit 21 of the same T-shirts into the Large cube when uncompressed and 14 when compressed. As usual, rolling up clothes is more space efficient than folding them. Compression is less effective on tightly rolled up clothes, of course, since they are already largely compressed. Overall this is a good packing set. At first I was dubious about the compression feature but it does seem to work ok. I feel compression isn't the most efficient way to use these cubes, however, especially if you already roll up clothes like I do, but it would probably be efficient for non-rollers. I like that I can just ignore the compression feature and used these cubes to pack my clothes in an organized manner. Either way these packing cubes are quite useful and I am happy to take them along on my upcoming travels.

This 4-Piece Lightweight Packing Cube Set arrived quickly and did not have a strong manufacturing smell, so I didn't have to wash them before stuffing them with clothes. I have several different sets of packing cubes, and these are the strongest and thickest I have. The stitching looks good and feels durable. I like the mesh since that gives me an idea of what I packed inside the cube. I was able to fit a lot of folded clothes into each of the packing cubes. It was easy to use the second compression zipper, which allowed me to add more clothing than if it didn't have the compression feature. There are three packing cubes, and then one that can be used for shoes, dirty laundry, or in my case, toiletries. I like that they are water resistant and I love the handle that's on the outside of the bag. I recommend this product. The cost of $13.99 is a great deal!

This is my first time trying packing cubes after hearing my sister rave about how they're great for organizing and maximizing space. So far, I'm impressed! These cubes are pretty, and the double zippers are very securely sewn in. I felt a little worried that the nylon might separate when I pulled the compressing zipper around the cube, but it did not. The fabric is a crisp synthetic that stands up on its own and makes packing easier. I packed three pairs of jeans (about a size 5) and two thick hoodies in the large cube. It was pretty full, but compressing it using the second zipper made a difference. The cube started out around 5 inches thick in the middle, and compressing it brought it down by a little under 2 inches. So I suppose that's good. I found it helpful to put the filled cube on a hard surface and gently press down on the side to pull the compressing zipper shut. The shoe bag held two pairs of women's size 8 shoes with room to spare, enough to tuck in socks or other items. I do think the large cube could be a bit larger, however, this set is a good value. They are washable also. I’ll really road test them on my next trip and will update this review afterward. So far, so good. I do think it's an excellent product to help organize a suitcase. Edit to add: I did remove the yellow shorts and pink tops seen in the image as I really would have been overstuffing the cube.
