The pick and pluck foam sheets appear to be good quality and should work well for a gun case. The foam has a consistent density and feels firm enough to provide proper support and protection, without being so stiff that it’s difficult to shape. It doesn’t feel crumbly or fragile, which is important for long-term use in a case. The pick-apart design looks well done and should make it easy to customize the layout for a firearm and accessories. The perforations are clean and evenly spaced, so shaping the foam should be straightforward and result in a clean fit rather than a jagged or messy cut. The different size sheets are a nice touch and give some flexibility depending on the case depth and what you’re storing. Based on first impressions, they seem thick enough to securely hold a firearm in place and prevent movement during transport. I haven’t installed them yet, but based on the material quality and construction, they seem like a solid option. If they perform as expected once installed, they should provide good protection and value for a gun case setup.

These came vacuum-sealed and looked great once unpackaged and fluffed up. They’re cut well enough to pull apart, but still attached well enough that they’re not going to just fall apart. The foam has a good density to it without being too soft or too firm. It works great for offering protection in just about any case you cut it to fit. My biggest complaint is that after letting it sit for 24 hours, it still hasn’t expanded to the full 1-inch thickness. A lot of sellers on Amazon offer 0.8-inch foam, and I chose this one specifically because it said it was a true 1 inch. I needed four pieces to stack up to 4 inches total, but what I ended up with were four 0.8-inch pieces—just a little over 3.5 inches—which won’t work for the project I had planned. Now I have to go find actual 1-inch foam. Other than the thickness being off, the foam itself is great quality. It’s just as good as any other foam I’ve used. The width is 12 1/4 inches and the length is 16 1/4 inches, so it even runs a little over, which is nice. It’s a very fair price for the money if it were the size advertised. For projects where 0.8-inch foam works, I’d have no problem ordering this again.
