After leaving this review and being disgusted by the shabby product, my daughter asked me if I was SURE I had the correct batteries for it. Lo and behold, my dumb a** was convinced that I needed triple-A batteries when in fact I should have been using double-A's! I apologize to one and all and my only defense is old age and poor eyesight, lol... I didn't have the highest hopes for these lights but I thought they would at least work when I got them! Of the four sets one didn't work at all and all three of the ones that did work needed aluminum foil jammed in the battery case to keep the batteries from falling out. ... show more

Nothing like waiting until the last minute!! However, I ordered them yesterday and received today with the 4th right around the corner. The LEDs are tiny which is what I wanted. The timer threw me off - I wish they'd print it in black and white. There's no remote nor does it claim to have one. I ordered the 4 pack and tested all of them. The lights are like WOW - they are bright! Out of the 4, one is defective. I loaded the batteries and the light was on. I thought that the switch was in the on position so I tried to shut it off. It won't shut off. I can still use it if necessary but I will have to pull a battery to turn the lights off. I've compared it to the others (the box is see thru) and I don'tsee anything different in the wiring. I would give this 5 stars if not for the defect. ... show more

I bought a bunch of these to add throughout my house this holiday season. I even got a few to put inside plug in decor that I don’t have access to a plug with. They look amazing and work well in my vintage mini blow mold santa and ceramic Christmas trees BUT batteries don’t last long at all. The lights start to dim in about a week or so. It was such a pretty view around my bottle brush trees. I’m estimating you will need to change each set at least 3 times between thanksgiving and Christmas, that is if you can handle the dim lighting for a bit. That’s a lot of batteries to go through and it gets very expensive. I will continue to live with them for now but I’m not a fan of the battery life. I think they would be amazing for a party or one day event but for long term use they will definitely frustrate users. FYI I’m using Amazon batteries. Also my first order was flawed so I had to return. My second batch worked perfectly. It was easy to request a return. ... show more
