I have a problem with regulating my body temperature, and I got these to try out during our Florida hot/humid summer. They really do get cold, and they do help me. I even will use these inside my house if I overheat in the kitchen, doing laundry, etc. They are very lightweight, and I like the size. Long enough to wrap like cowl and give me some relief. I would imagine they would be helpful for someone who is watching a sport event when it's really hot out, or walking around sight seeing or at the zoo! I took these on a recent Disney World trip where the temperature was in the 90s. While they’re not ice cold, they definitely work to cool you down when it’s that hot! Just snap them around a little and apply them to pulse points, neck, face etc. The individual bags with caribiner clips made it so everyone could carry their own attached to their back pack or belt loop for easy access when needed. During a 9 hour day at the park I only had to rewet them once. They also washed and dried really well on a normal load. All in, I’m glad I bought them and I’d definitely recommend. ... show more

This year, Phoenix has had the hottest summer on record. If you need to be outside at all, you better be carrying iced water and wearing a hat. Even at the coolest part of the day, just before sunrise, you usually need to think of ways to keep cool. We are out three mornings a week at 4 a.m. at a local park, feeding the stray and feral cats. We decided to try these cooling towels, though we didn't expect them to do very much. I have been surprised how well they work. We put three ounces of cold water in the bag with the towel when we're leaving home. By the time we get to the park, the towel is thoroughly wet through, and any excess water can be squeezed out. I shake the towel out and wrap it around my neck, with the two ends hanging down in the front. This feels cool for at least ten to fifteen minutes, and when I notice it doesn't feel cool any more, I unwrap it and flap it a bit, before putting it back on. It always feel cool again, as long as it's still damp. Any clothing it touches gets damp too, and that seems to help with the cooling. ... show more
