I was having trouble with the factory carb having a hesitation going from idle to full throttle. I’ve had it apart and cleaned it multiple times but no luck so I figured I’d give this a try. It bolted right up and fired second pull. I had to fine tune the mixture screw about 3/4 turn in and my evinrude now runs great across the whole power range. I remember when the cheaper aftermarket carbs were more problematic than good but the quality control seems to be really good now days. My Mercury 2.5 HP 4 stroke model 1F02201EK sat for a few years. Cleaned carb and reinstalled. Realized I had gas in my oil crankcase and oil blowing back out of carb. Got to where you couldn't pull cord due to hydrolocking . I assumed float needle wouldn't shut allowing gas to bypass into the motor. A couple oil changes and this new carb and it's back running like new. Starts, runs, and idles nicely. Cheaper than trying to order new float needle carb parts. Fit my model perfectly. ... show more

I ordered this carb for my 2015 Mercury 5hp 4-stroke. At first it ran perfect but after 20 minutes I noticed it started leaking fuel real bad. I suspect it is a float issue. I’ve ordered OEM now. I wouldn’t risk it with this clone version.
