They do what reading glasses are supposed to do. I purchased these after cataract surgery where I had both eyes accommodated for distance vision and before getting refracted post op. I used my photography diopters to choose the power and purchased these. Good fit and image quality. They are well worth the price. I now have my progressive glasses that make my vision perfect, but in bed at night these are great for reading (hence the name) and I can watch TV without glasses. Much less likely to break the more expensive prescription glasses that way. ... show more
