If you're bothered by chrome trim on your sporty vehicle, this is a low dollar, high-value upgrade. Prior to this, I had unsuccessfully tried TrimBrite blackout tape and can say this product is 100% easier to work with if you are a DIYer. Working this around the bends is SO much easier without having to heat it up. On the other hand, getting the cuts perfect requires a real knife, time (a couple of hours minimum to cover chrome window trim) and patience. Best to go over it with a heat gun to ensure it adheres. I'll start with the good...The wrap is really easy to work with. Other than that it doesn't seem like real 3M tape. 3M usually has a protective film and this does not. It's also not advertised correctly. I thought it looked like a flat/matte black because there was a protective film covering the gloss but put it on the car and nope. This stuff is great...I've worked with another similar product that was not very good at all. The 3M vinyl has a protective layer over the top that makes working with the tape much easier. It also has a strong, but not too strong adhesive. It can be stretched over curves without difficulty. I'm a novice at dechroming cars and the 3M vinyl is worthwhile. ... show more
