  • Extremely effective and easy to use.
Size: Drill Required
I bought this kit to use on my 2003 Nissan Xterra that had severely faded and cloudy headlight lenses. It took about an hour to do, and I used all of the sandpaper discs, but I got headlight lenses that looked brand new at the end. Well worth the money! I still have one more kit that I’m going to use on the running lights. ... show more

  • THIS is the headlight restoration kit you should buy!
Size: Drill Required
THIS restoration kit really works! You have to put a little work into it but it's with a drill so anyone can do it. I will recommend to all my friends who have those dusty looking headlights!

  • Yellow to crystal clear
Size: Drill Required
I rarely write reviews any more, but I was so impressed with the efficacy of this kit, (and as someone who relies heavily on positive reviews) felt compelled to add one. I recently bought a new-to-me car in good shape, except for the VERY yellowed headlight lenses. I researched a few different kits and landed on purchasing this 3M kit. Extremely easy process, instructions were very clear and easy to follow (if you're totally unfamiliar, you might search a few headlight restoration videos on YouTube to see the general process). All in, less than an hour later (might have been closer to 30 minutes), I had incredibly clear lenses and the difference in visibility was (literally) night and day. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Could use more sand steps, but not bad!
Size: Drill Required
Pretty good! I think it could use another step of sanding in between, maybe 2000 grit. Huge difference for one pass. Debating hitting it with the second kit but i think I’ll save it until i see yellowing come back.

  • Amazing Results! And it was EASY
Size: Drill Required
My 2013 Camry had such severe damage to them that I was looking into replacing them. My brother, who was a service manager for years with major dealerships, convinced me ro try a restoration kit. I picked this one because it used the drill instead of manually scrubbing and had amazing reviews. I am glad, though, my drill had two batteries which saved me time. I'm thrilled with the results. Now we wait to see how long it lasts. Oh, did I mention that I am a woman over 65?? Anyone can do this, believe me. ... show more

  • It just works!
Size: Drill Required
I needed to do something with the YELLOW headlights on my 06 Tundra before I put in the LED's I bought. I was hesitating to start the project. I ended up trying this first on someone else’s.. OMG this really works. I am fortunate enough to have a 3” random orbital tool, this tool with THIS 3M kit gave me outstanding results, period. It was way easier and quicker than I ever thought. Just wash off the lights, tape off anything you do NOT want to sand with a couple of layers of some good masking tape. Start with the 500 grit and LOTS of water, I used a spray bottle. Keep the tool flat and moving at all times, do not sit in any one spot. Rinse off several times during the process, did I say keep them wet? When they look uniformly “hazy” move to the next finer grit and keep going. As the haziness changes and gets uniform again change grit again… Again remember water is your friend during all of this… when you get to the 3000 grit the haziness will start to disappear keep sanding and rinse well. I used some fine, plastic safe rubbing compound with the same tool and what la.. CRISTAL CLEAR LIGHTS.. I then put some good wax on them. They look like NEW… I wish I had taken before photos! These will work with a cordless drill on a low speed as well just keep in mind you are working with plastic and heat is your enemy, keep wet and keep moving and use the disk as flat as possible. Long winded I know I am just stoked as to how good they turned out! ... show more

  • I would try another product that at least has a sealer with UV protection.
Size: Drill Required
This is just a sanding kit that is short a grit of sandpaper and doesn't have a sealer. I spent around 8 hours each sanding the headlights on my Mercedes. Even using a drill, expecting the 3000 grit sandpaper to remove the 800 grit scratches is an endless task. If you still want to take this route, I recommend adding 4 to 6 1000 or 1200 grit sanding disks. Also, once you have applied the polishing compound, there is no sealer in the kit, therefore, no UV protection on your headlights. I recommend buying a headlight protectant as well. Furthermore, the instructions state that there is an instructional video on the 3M website. I looked it up, and there is nothing but product listings. I even searched for "headlight video", and nothing. Pretty janky product and a reputation burner from a company I expected quality products from. ... show more
