This is my first experience with any vinyl wrapping. After watching a few videos on the topic I decided to give the 3M #2080 vinyl a try. I used it to wrap an instrument panel on my ultralight aircraft which is basically a flat piece of aluminum with a multitude of holes in it. To my surprise, I got a very nice end result. I found the product to be very forgiving(lifting it up and repositioning it many times to reduce the amount of wrinkles). It's very flexible and has the right amount of 'stickiness'. It's also rather strong as I noticed a surprising amount of resistance when using my X-acto knife to cut out the instrument holes. I would remind anyone using this product to have a CLEAN work area as well as the object to be wrapped. Lint free gloves might also be a good idea.

First time ever trying to put vinyl on. So I decided to try it. I wanted a sun block on my windshield. As soon as this was delivered I put it on. I used the "wet" technique. Used water and a little soap. Sprayed the windshield and back side of vinyl and slid it into place, then used Squeegee kit I got off Amazon and started in the middle and worked my way out. No wrinkles everything went pretty smooth. We will see how long it last and how well it holds up to the weather.

Seems a bit thicker than others I've used. Didn't seem to have the flexibility, especially for compound curves. Would be better on flats.

The dead-matte black looks great, but shows a ton of fingerprints. This is known and not a surprise. Reading reviews shows that this may be an issue, and it only takes a cloth with some rubbing alcohol to clean it up, but it's just more noticeable than gloss. Application was reasonable, even as a beginner. I spent much time with cut tape attempting to get 'perfect' butt seams, but in the end, I opted for small over-lap. Once heated, the vinyl formed well to the neighbor and it is difficult to see. You need to be looking for the faults to find them. I've attached a picture of the bike I applied this too. Many complex curves, which took substantial stretching. The film was reasonably accommodating, though tore as expected when pushed too far. I dropped two stars for the company. RVinyl pre-cuts and packages the 3M product and adds in some helper items. See the pictures above regarding the tears in the film. RVinyl's cutting was certainly off and was tearing the sheets. I ordered two of this and both were torn the same way. It makes me wonder how many other torn sheets were sent out. Their shipping (via Amazon?) came much later than was advertised and put my project on hold. I would have been better buying elsewhere. When I asked RVinyl about it, they simply laid the blame on Amazon, though my shipment appeared to come from them anyway. Their disregard for the fact that their name was attached to a product on Amazon that continue to show faster shipping AFTER I ordered with no consideration for making a customer happen was very disappointing. Then to find it show up ripped as shown in the pictures. I'd recommend the product, but not from RVinyl. Find another company selling it.

I've tried three wraps for small projects on my vehicles, and the 3M 2080 M22 is the easiest to work with. The toughest parts of wrapping emblems are the curves and indentations - the 3M wrap with a good heat gun and pressure works great. Note: sometimes a squeegee will not work on small areas. That is when I use an exam glove and a finger or the head of a small finish nail. I'd buy this wrap again :)

My mirrors were originally chrome, so I wrapped them this flat black and it was a great easy product to use with the air release, it's been 4 months now and no lifting!! So far it's been a great looking and durable product!
