Description

3M 1080 WRAP FILM SERIES are long-term, removable, dual cast coloured films are designed for solid colour vehicle detailing, decoration and full wraps without graphic protection. This film's Controltac pressure-activated adhesive allows it to slide and be repositioned until firm pressure is applied. The non-visible Comply air release channels assure fast, easy and virtually bubble-free installations. These vinyl films (minimum 3.5 mil) are sold in 60 inch rolls, allowing almost any section of a vehicle to be wrapped without seams. This film is recommended for full wraps and can be applied to your vehicles hood, trunk, roof, mirrors, door handles, glass, motorcycle parts, chrome, metal parts and just about any relatively non-porous surface. Was using this 3M vinyl for wrapping and as a vinyl, all 3M is brilliant and easy to work with. The original deep space (what you see advertised or the top vinyl of the two) is incredible and is as eyecatching and mesmerizing as you could imagine. However, the bottom one, or whatever the hell the vinyl is, is apparently the new deep space in which the color is drastically changed and there is no change of color with angle or light. It is a blue metallic with random color sparkles and it does not look anything like what you will be hoping for. They do not guarantee color unless you purchase AN ENTIRE SHEET (5x8ft) and it obviously has lost its quality and appeal. Thus, do not waste your time if you want that sexy deep space you see in the sample pictures on this page or the top vinyl in the picture I included. If you want the red/purple shown in the image you will be disappointed. This has no color shift and is just actually sparkle blue. Don't waste your money on this. Seller is false advertising. One reviewer said they think this is a newer version of the color. I really doubt it. I think it's either the wrong color sent or a fake product. ... show more

I got almost a dozen different sample sized vinyl before deciding on which one to wrap my Ford Escape. This was my favorite and I ended up buying 5’X40’ and waiting on another 5’X5’ after picking this vinyl as the best, at least for me.

The product itself is beautiful but it arrived with a series of dashed lines running the entire length of the film in two areas. I’m not sure that this is the sellers fault, as it appears it could be a manufacturing error by 3M (looks as though it was passed over rollers or contacted something before curing.) You can see them in my photo at about the middle, right near the fold and then running across to the left- they are not super noticeable so I installed it anyways, but still a little frustrating. ... show more

Great color. Wrapped a fountain pen with it. Was a bit hard to do the pointy ends, but I think that's my own lack of experience with these wraps. Overall, great product.
