The guitar came double boxed with no damage. I played it right out of the box everything worked and it sounds pretty good. The body finish was good no scratches, the neck was straight and the fret board was finished nice. The pickups, tremolo and other controls work good strings definitely have to be changed and maybe some other set up as I play it more. Some of the fret ends were sharp not a big deal I filed and rounded them off. All said it's a pretty good Strat copy. ... show more

Received guitar was very surprised how good it actually plays and feels i just need to file down the fret ends alittle they were not to bad I have felt worse on other brands the neck is nice and smooth has the unfinished feel it was pretty much setup neck relief was spot on the intonation was good string action was fine I lowered it for my preference no fret buzz frets were all leveled usually high string height means there is uneven frets but not this case pickups sound really nice not alot of the 60 cycle hum you normally get with single coil pickups was nice to have the bridge pickup attached to the tone control sometimes the bridge can be very bright and the tone can control it gig bag was ok will do the job it was intended for and all the extras that came with it will get you going the only issue i had was no battery for the tuner and the tuning pegs were not the ones that is pictured in photo the ones that came with it work fine but the ones in the picture were nicer looking I will be interested in buying other guitars from this company down the road to try out plus the strings on this guitar did not turn my fingers black which is nice that usually happens on cheap strings this would be great for a beginners to start on ... show more

Good guitar for beginners and intermediates, however, will need a full set up, either DIY or at a guitar store. This is not a criticism as most new guitars require this. Paint job was flawless, guitar body is full thickness and a nice weight. Pickups have good tones. Strings need replacing immediately for even better sounds.     • Not what i was expecting....but in a good way.

so basically this thing was playable right out of the case. No big issues other than the strings, although a surprisingly decent quality, weren't wrapped very well around the pegs. the fret board was pretty dry but overall in good shape. nice smooth frets and near zero grit. And although they're not rounded, they also weren't biting my hand when i played. The tuners themselves are good, the only string that slipped during my 3 hours of playtime was the e and it seems to be due to the poor wrap job and not an issue with the tuners themselves. The packed in strings are actually nice for a brand i've never heard of, same with the tuner and gig bag. the gig bag is decent quality and lightly padded and is still way better than a nylon bag.The strap is very "meh", its uncomfortable but it will get the job done if you don't have one yet. The paint job looks pretty good and there are no real blemishes or defects of any kind. The pick ups are definitely punching way above their weight class in this price range and are definitely comparable to a squire or budget epiphone which can run 2-3x the price. I bought this model to mod out a bit but i think i may keep it as is and just buy another from this company soon (that tele model looks sweet!) UPDATE: a small but easily correctable issue i've encountered is that the nut slots aren't cut deep enough and needed to be filed down a bit. ... show more
