365 foods continue to impress me! The black beans can be drained and mashed with a fork to make a delicious bean dip. I simply add a splash of light olive oil, some sprinkles of onion powder and garlic powder and then some herbed seasoning salt. Then I eat the bean dip with my favorite tortilla chips that have a lime flavor. The combination of the black beans and lime chips is amazing. These don't have any salt in them to begin with so are easy to flavor with your own salts. I could swear that the day after I eat bean dip I have so much more energy! I got four cans but I can see I'm going to need to get more! One can makes two servings of bean dip, so I refrigerate the leftovers from day one. Oh and to mash the beans with a fork I just press the beans against the side of the stainless steel bowl with a fork. Saves on using a masher tool. I simply drain the can of beans and don't rinse them. ~The Rebecca Review

I really love these! They taste great and they are the perfect addition to my crock pot of bean soup. Just rinse them and add them right in. I get the Bob's Red Mill 13 Bean Soup (dry). It is also a zero-sodium product. I add 2 cartons of Swanson's no salt added Chicken or Beef Broth and it's the perfect meal for anyone on a sodium restricted diet. My brother is on dialysis with stage 5 kidney disease, and he loves my bean soup! Oh, I forgot, I also add 1/2 an onion, diced, 1 carrot, grated, 2 stalks of celery hearts, grated (remove the strings), and 1 bunch of chopped chives. The flavor is awesome! Most of these items I can get on Amazon. Just throw it all in the crock pot, cook on low overnight, and you're in for a treat.
