Bought the kiddo his first car. NOT a fancy ride, but functional. It needed a substantial bit of suspension and brake work. I decided that it was work I could tackle without too much difficulty. I got this set to accompany a 1/2" Craftsman impact driver from a big box store. I figured if I repaired his car and used the equipment for future repairs, it was easily worth it. I only used the middle and larger sockets, but they all held up just fine. No internal marring, wear, cracks etc. It was used to replace/repair/remove upper and lower control arms, sway bar links, coil struts, brake caliper bolts (where I could reach them) and lug nuts. This set held up fine, and while I am not a ASE certified mechanic by a LOOOONG way, I didn't figure I needed to pay Snap-On prices for something that might get used a handful of times a year. If you need an impact set that will handle modest use, I think these will serve you well enough. I cannot attest to how they would handle daily use. ... show more

I've used this set to change out some suspension components on my car and it performed flawlessly. I like that the storage box is sturdy, it should last for a few years. Deep sockets are somewhat difficult to get out on their own.

    • Awesome product , case latch is plastic which will get brittle over time.

We use these sockets for impact work on some heavy machinery repair , etc . They are easy to read for sizes that are labeled , dark color , fit as specified on bolts , nuts being removed . They come in a decent organized box for storage also.

I bought these sockets to remove some lug nuts from a truck. I really liked the fact they came with every imaginable size in both standard and metric. I knew I could find the exact right size to fit over the rounded, deformed, mangled lug nuts on the truck. I had to pound a couple onto the lug nuts and pound the lug nuts out after they came off. The sockets worked and I am happy they were so cheap to buy. I bought this set over some other cheaper sets because BOEN included several extra large standard sockets. We have a bulldozer and tractor so maybe they will get used eventually. Saved a few dollars now buying them in the set instead of buying them individually in the future if we ever need them. ... show more
