The open bow makes it easy to enter and exit the Takacat LX. Whether you're going in for a swim or looking to scuba dive, this unique design is a major plus. Durability is a key feature of the Takacat LX. The single seam construction of the hulls means less seam work and minimizes the likelihood of damage. Takacat came to life over 10 years ago in New Zealand with the goal of crafting a revolutionary line of inflatable catamarans. The Takacat brings innovations to the water, such as the fast draining removable Tube Transom. Inflation with the supplied manual pump takes about 15 minutes, depending on the size of the boat and your urgency. Inflation with an electric pump takes about 8-10 minutes The Tube Transom enables the Takacat hulls to be rolled-up like a swiss cake roll which makes it easier to store & transport than other inflatables. so far no complaints it actually came almost 2 weeks early found out you're better off sitting on the floor than on the pontoon in rough water sitting on the pontoon you're really got a hold on

    • Don’t waste your money.
I first purchased a 260 it leaked air very fast. So they were quick and helpful to replace. So I upgraded and paid a little extra for the 300. the next one was great for one season. The second summer she started leaking. By the end of the summer the floor had 6 leaks and the right tube has 2. All from glued seams. I reached out to warranty. They said sorry we can send you replacement parts in the beginning of next year. 🤯 I offered to pay cost on a different boat to get something sooner. They offered me a small discount on a new one essentially a few hundred dollars off. So I guess I’m out of luck for my dingy in Florida for the winter. Don’t buy this product. For half the price you can get a different brand that will likely leak in a year just like this one. So you should just save the money. Buy a cheaper one and replace it every few years. ... show more

Have been trying to contact this company for over a week now filled out the warranty emailed them several times I assembled this Takacat over a week ago has a leak went through the procedures and no response. I do not recommend.

We bought our Takacat T260LX in 2023 and it is completely delaminating at the seams. The floor and both hulls have leaks. I've tried to glue it back together using hh-66 vinyl cement but each fix only holds for a week or so. Expected it to last longer and have better seam construction. Is 2 years the typical lifespan of the product? ... show more

I purchased the 340LX Takacat last year and it has been a great dinghy for us to go back and forth to the our mooring location. The ride is both stable and dry - even in high winds and current. We had a small isue with a seam almost 6 months after the purchase and Takacat America was almost immediate in sending a replacement part. I’ve been meaning to write a review for sometime. I received the raft while sailing through Florida. Initially the floor would not hold air, I requested a refund or a floor replacement, and the vendor sent a new floor, but not only new, they sent a floor that was an actual upgrade to the one I ordered! This thing is awesome, setup is fast (high pressure pump is highly recommended) and it's strong enough to handle the sea. Pull up to an island beach, tilt up the motor, hop out and pull it ashore.
