1 Year, 7 Month Update: No regrets, this is a fantastic sink. As mentioned below in my earlier review, we have very hard water. Still no spots. We still have all the original accessories and all have held up great - including the stainless steel metal grate and the drying rack. No rusting and both look new even though they're used every day. I did scratch the bottom of the sink. I had taken out the metal grate and was furiously scrubbing a ceramic pan, forgetting that I didn't have the grate. Left a long scratch at the bottom but it's only visible in when looking from a specific angle under the right lighting conditions. There are also some light scratches along the edge of inside front of the sink from daily use. Again, not easy to see and definitely not a reason to not buy this. Just keep in mind that you can scratch deep enough to get to the silver metal. I recommend leaving the grate in. We do throw the grate into the dishwasher about once a month to clean off anything that we don't get during routine hand cleaning. Otherwise no dents or dings. I'm also amazed how there are no scratches along the top rim of the sink. This thing is built very well. My wife and I are still VERY satisfied and love all the compliments we get when people see it. Highly recommended!! 1 Month Update: Still loving this sink. It's held up very well - no issues at all. We have hard water so sometimes it spots a little but very easy to clean off with a paper towel - no hard scrubbing. Previous Review: I never thought I'd ever be doing a review for a sink but I also never thought I'd actually love one either. It's only been in for a few days, but we love the size, accessories, and the overall quality. The sink is solid with excellent sound dampening, it's well constructed, not too heavy, has great drainage, and it's beautiful to look at. My wife and I are in the process of remodeling and realized our sink was bringing the whole kitchen down. We had very few requirements but we agreed we wanted a darker sink to match our black stainless appliances. After a ton of research we settled on the Sarlai 33" drop-in in gunmetal black. It matches everything perfectly. (As a side note, we also had looked at black granite epoxy sinks, but after seeing how much care they require, we decided against it.) Shipping was fantastic. The sink came in a cardboard box, lined with 1/4" plywood. Foam was placed around each corner of the sink which was wrapped in a nice cloth bag. All the accessories and book were wrapped in plastic and tucked inside the sink nicely. Installation was very straight forward. I'm not a plumber but I'm pretty handy so I ended up just doing it myself. I didn't have to make any modifications to the counter top since the original sink was also 33". The package included clips that go all the way around the sink. I placed a bead of silicone around the edge and dropped the sink in. Clips screwed in nicely - no issues and the sink made a really tight seal. I had read reviews of other stainless steal sinks and how they can be a little warped - no warping on this one at all; nice and flat! Because we have a garbage disposal, the included drain wouldn't work. So I ordered the Allwen black kitchen sink drain (see link below). It matches PERFECTLY. After some acrobatics and a little plumbers putty, everything went smooth. One other thing I did for myself is I attached the faucet and air switch BEFORE I placed the sink in. That made a HUGE difference. I needed a new sink for the laundry room and after spending several days researching between Home Depot, Lowe’s and on Amazon I found this gem. My only reservation was that it might have been a bit longer which meant i might of needed to cut additional space into my counter but to my surprise it fit just fine. I guess most of these utility sinks are standard size. It is a beautiful stainless steel sink, very immaculate with zero imperfections. Packaging was great and came with everything as described…even a thank you card from the manufacturing company. Installation was SUPER easy, silicone around the bottom edge of the sink, place over the counter and the securing tabs underneath were also easy to install. Attaching to the existing drain was also easy to install…i think i only needed to trim about an inch off the drain pipe. Other than that I think it’s definitely worth its value and highly recommended. Just take care to follow the instructions on how to care for your stainless steel sink.

Price was significantly less than big box stores. Solid sink and looks great. The depth of the sink made installation a bit of a challenge, but that was due to my particular counter layout. Being stainless, this sink does show some dirt and particles in between washings. And when boiling water is put in the sink, it makes a bit of a ringing noise (expansion of the sink). So, its not perfect, but it is very nice looking and provides ample room for dishes. I would definitely purchase again.

I love this sink!! It’s beautiful! It goes so nicely with my oil rubbed bronze faucet and soap dispenser! It’s a fantastic contrast against my countertops! It comes with most of what you’ll need to install it. It came with the drain assembly and the stopper basket that matches the gun metal black. It also included the clips for attaching it to the countertop. I purchased caulk, plumbers putty and some plumbers tape, but that’s it! Included is the grid to help keep it from getting scratched up as well as extra rubber tips for the grid. There’s also a drying rack that is held together with protective rubber, it’s approximately half the size of the sink. The size of the sink is as stated. I was pleasantly surprised that it fit perfectly in the cutout for the old and damaged cast iron sink that came with my very old home. Shipping was on time and the sink was packaged very well. Side note, I originally purchased a different sink by lordera, I believe was the brand. After waiting 3 weeks, Amazon said it appeared to be lost by the US Post Office. They issued me a refund for that. So, this sink was my second choice but was the same price, color and had all the same accessories.

Sink is heavy guage and arrived on time and in good condition. Packing was exemplary. My only gripe (and it is a small one) is that the hold-down clips were pretty well useless because of the way they install on the sink. If you pre install them on the sink, you can't reach them (at least not with our 1.5" counter. In any event, we simply used a good quality silicone to hold the sink (which is plenty heavy) and it hasn't gone anywhere. For the price, I don't think you can find a better sink.
